The starter pack is a chlorine and I am using Bromine and was told not to mix the two.

Water must be fresh fill and properly tested for proper levels. Test straps don't cut it 100%.
First time user and its a little bitnif work before use. Its not exactly a drop in ready to use product. Hot tub must be a fresh fill, all levels must be perfect, and then a little tweaking to the cannister corresponding to the water test levels. The test strips are great that come with package but you need to have the water properly tested for proper levels before and after. Once all done its great. Still a couple of once a week chemicals to add but not as bad when it was chlorine. Hope this helps someone out there. Good luck.
