I broke a tuning key on my cheap LAG acoustic, and the official replacement part was out of stock, so I ordered a set of these. They came neatly packaged, were very easy to fit and look very smart.In operation they are smooth and positive, and seem to hold tuning very well.Bearing in mind I have a large guitar collection, and the LAG is just a beater for playing round the house, I'm actually pretty impressed with these tuners, so much that I've put an acoustic pickup in the LAG and will take it out as my backup guitar next time I do an acoustic gig.Very nice for the money.

I wanted to swap out the chrome kidney shape tuners on this little Ibanez for black tulip shape. On a budget so took a chance on these as they were only $12 a set. Not expecting a lot but was blown away. Direct swap for the tuners already on the guitar, so no need to drill any new holes or make any modifications. Just string it up (use bottom heavy strings in D-Standard tuning.) I immediately noticed that the tuners felt smooth with no binding or grinding at all. And I love that they have a 1:21 gear ratio. Makes fine tuning really easy compared to the stock, where were probably 1:16 or so. A twist of the knob is only a very slight turn on the post. You can really dial in the tuning.Overall, they seem to be good quality. About the same weight as Grovers. And they seem to be holding tune really well, which I would expect from a 1:21 ratio tuner. No slipping at all. The silky feel is better than the stock tuners that came from Ibanez.To be sure, you aren't going to get fancy packaging. They came in little zip-lock bags. But these are so good that I wouldn't expect to see any improvement for shelling out 3 times the price for brand name tuners in a fancy box. Not all cheap tuners are good, but these are exceptional. Or I just got lucky. But I would definitely order again. Especially on a non-trem guitar which doesn't really need locking tuners.
