I had just completed a cushion, back vinyl floor in a gymnasium. The regular nozzles direct the heat into the middle of the seam burning the foam backing and creating a lot of smoke. This roller nozzle doesn’t shoot a lot of direct heat into the seam so there is a lot less smoke. It worked very well for this application. I highly recommend this tool for resilient flooring. My only dislike is that the wheels is a little too rounded, and occasionally touches the floor, scorching the outside of the seam. You must be very careful not to apply too much pressure. This was with 4 mm welding rod. It says 3 mm to 5 mm welding rod, but I would be hesitant to do a 3 mm seam because the wheel would likely touch the floor outside of the seam.
