Had washed my cushions on my couch and used this as a stain guard. Says 1 tin would no one sofa but I feel it would definitely need 2 tins for coverage. But overall happy with my purchase

Effective spray seems to be doing a good job.

There was just about enough for my rather large armchair next time I would probably order two . I will reserve judgement as to it's effectiveness hen and if something gets pulled on it.

It does darken the fabric pernmently.

This product was not value for money. The product was for the European market. I looked for a return. They do not accept returns. Customer has to pay for postage.

After second quote it’s still not water repellent!

I sprayed some of this on my new pair of Hoka shoes since they are very light colored. Following the directions, I masked off the non-breathing material, It is especially to avoid spraying the bottom of the shoe, because once you spray even one coat on something that isn't porous, this will become so slick. It would actually be a slip hazard if you have any of this on the bottom of your shoes. After I sprayed one coat I let it dry for a couple days before I sprayed the second coat. In my mind, two thin layers are always better than one heavy coat. Once my scotchgard got good and dry, I removed the tape and then the following day it was raining outside. I was quite impressed how well this repelled the water. I've been wearing these shoes outside often and they look as new as I got them still. I have a spray booth so I did not notice the odor. I consider this to have good effectiveness. It's too early to say on the durability on how long this will last. I will update the review accordingly. I was careful not to spray so I do not know about the residue. I consider this to be a good value since it will keep my shoes clean and I'm not sure how many shoes I will be able to do with one can.

Just covered my 3 seater chaise lounge, seems to work well! Would probably buy two next time for extra coverage. Strong smell initially but wears off quickly.

I have been using this product for years. Spray it twice a year on your upholstery and it will basically repell liquid stains from all your fabrics. It has a strong smell that subsides after a few hours in a ventilated room. Very good quality and reliable product. Five stars

We have a 3 seater sofa with a light coloured fabric upholstery and were concerned that it would get dirty soon and hence decided to buy a can of the 3M fabric protector. Once the product arrived, I decided to apply the spray on the sofa. One has to cover all non-sprayable parts of the sofa (for example wooden armrests and legs) etc, as the spray can leave stains on them that are difficult to remove. I generously applied multiple coatings of the spray and left the same to dry. Initially, the fabric felt a bit rough, but after using the sofa for a couple of days, the texture of the fabric seemed to be back to normal. Some months later, I was having packing a container of fish curry and used the sofa to hold it. Unfortunately, I managed to spill a significant amount of the gravy on to the sofa and the cushions. I was able to immediately open the cushion cover, but the only thing I could do with the sofa was to wipe it with a damp cloth. Once it dried, we found absolutely no signs of the spilled curry. Hats off the 3M fabric protector!
