As our newest root shows very good results all over the USA. Strawberries are extremely adaptable and are grown in every state in the U.S. Plants generally grow 6”–8” tall and 12” across, are shallow–rooted, and benefit from mulch such as straw, pine needles, or plastic. Prefer a soil rich in all the basic nutrients with a pH of 6–6.5. Susceptible to root rot and must be planted in well-drained soil, with crown set at soil level. Yield under the best of conditions is about one basket per plant per season. June bearers generally produce a single large crop in spring to early summer (as early as March in warmer regions) and are prolific producers for 3 to 4 weeks. Pick the blossoms off June Bearers the first year to boost production the second year. Ever bearers are not as prolific as June bearers but are especially suitable for growers who wish to harvest a constant supply of berries throughout the summer. Plant some of both to have a large harvest to preserve, and plenty to eat all summer!

Could not be happier, put them in a Aerogarden.
Bought from YP Supplier, put them in a Aerogarden they are doing great, great strawberry plants, very pleased. Pictures are after three days, there was no green growth on them when they arrived.

Questionable Quality
Received roots today. I also decided to order the day neutral strawberries from Mr. Stacky Berries primarily because I wanted to see what would do best in the garden and test best. Both orders arrived today. I was very disappointed with the quality of the roots I received from Mr. Stacky compared to what I received from Hirts Gardens of their Day Neutral strawberry. I'm no expert but I would say the berry roots sold by Hirt's Gardens will do far better than the ones sold by Mr. Stacky Berries. See pics attached for your review. The top row (the larger more quality roots) are from Hirt's Gardens and is their Mara Des Bois French Everbearing Strawberry. More than satisfied!!
All went perfectly. I received them early. I ordered 25 plants and received 39. All of them lived. I soaked the roots overnight and trimmed the roots a bit and planted them the next day. I did not even have transplant shock. They all started growing immediately. Within a few days I had green leaves coming out. The day I received them, I got a nice email from the seller asking if they arrived ok and letting me know if I had any trouble they would be happy to help. I wish more companies were so concerned with customer service. I would highly recommend them. :)

I am not the best gardener, so there is room for some user-error ...
I ordered 25 plants, the price seemed reasonable and it isn't the popular time of year for this variety so it was also hard to find in my area. I have never mail ordered plants before and never been a fan of bare root plants. However, I stuck these in the ground about 2-3 weeks ago roughly and they seem to be doing well. I maybe have lost 2-3 plants from the bunch, most did not have green on the roots when they came in so hoping maybe those roots just haven't pushed their leaves in yet. I am not the best gardener, so there is room for some user-error there. However, I have been fairly pleased with the quality and growth of these plants.

Excellent and Hardy Plants
I got these strawberries and was pleasantly surprised at how healthy-looking they were. I had a death in the family shortly after they arrived, and planting them went by the wayside for weeks (I had put them in the produce bin in my refrigerator.) However, I just planted them about five days ago, and they look great! They are getting leaves, and all of the plants are green. The plants are obviously very hardy. They were very well packaged for transport, and not one was broken. I'm very impressed and will use Mr. Stacky again.

I'm sold!
I was very skeptical about buying bareroot plants, especially online. But these strawberries sold me! When they come in, be aware that bareroot plants are dormant, so they essentially look like roots with sticks attached. But after just two days of water and sunshine, they started growing and waking up. Now they have full, healthy leaves, and they are growing more everyday. I can't wait to see how well these produce!

Do not buy. Unhealthy plants.
I got a stackable potter and two different straeberry packs from two different suppliers just to be on a safe side. These arrived truly bare root. There were no leaves on them. I planted them just like I did other strawberries I got. Only half of them showed leaves after three weeks and then ones that showed leaves are dying and look unhealthy. The other set of strawberries I got came with leaves and are striving. Check my reviews for the other set of straeberry plants and get those instead. Do not get these. What a waste of my time. great strawberries
These bare root strawberries arrived very promptly to California. Was very, very pleased. They were alive and well when I opened them. Most had some green leaves and some growth. Planted them and now - WOW!! The all are growing tall and strong with lots of blooms (future berries). So happy. Have not used this nursery before, but will again when I need more.Highy recommended.Thanks again.
