Love this little oven
I went Carnivore some time ago and this little over is the BEST thing I have ever purchased. It does EVERYTHING. The menu is on the handle of the oven which I think is brilliant. It has very simple buttons that allow you to scroll through temp, time, and how you want to cook, bake, airfry, dehydrate, toast, etc...The light lights the entire over and stays on for a good long time making it nice if you are baking something you want to keep an eye on. It cooks FAST-often takes less time than various food packages state for airfryers/ovens. I have not had anything burn yet-and if you are a fan of making homemade hotwings or drumsticks, this little oven is great for that. It is big-but big in a compact good way. There is a lot of space inside this oven and it comes with two racks, a fryer basket, pan/roasting tray-I don't use the non stick pans it came with as I don't trust non-stick coating in general and I purchased other pans on amazon to use with it. There are some great stainless steel pans and pizza pans available that work just fine, like Deedro 12x10x1 baking sheets w/racks and Deedro 10 inch pizza pans. I have used a standard loaf pan, 8x10 pan, and a 9x13 pan inside it just fine. The menu on the handle tells you which level to cook on based on your selections and inside the oven on the right, the level numbers are impressed in the metal for reference. I DO recommend you clean it as you use it-don't let anything build up. Also, make sure you have enough counter space with a bit of a gap in the back, as this oven vents from behind. I have not used the included meat/temp probe yet, but have had great results all around. Love it.

Fast, versatile, and big
Great toaster oven. We use it to reheat leftovers, air fry, toast bagels, even cook a 10 lb turkey. It’s fast, versatile, and easy to use. I will say it’s only OK at toasting bread and bagels - we bought a cheap slim pop-up toaster to supplement it.

Just perfect, beautifully designed and economical
I am not a domestic goddess and I don't write a lot of reviews but I had to write one for the Ninja air feuer toaster oven. I totally love it and it has transformed.what I can do in the kitchen!! After hours (probably days) of checking different air fryer toaster ovens and readond 100s of reciews I ordered the ninja dt251 (and grateful.it was on special). I was terrified it would be complicated and I would not be able to operate it, but it came with great instructions, even each box is well labeled and it is very easy. It is so much prettier than I expected and it fits well on our countertop, actually taking up less width than our larg microwave. There is a good 4" clearance under the top cabinets and it does not radiate a lot of heat, yes it is warm to touch while it is going but I am not worried anyone will get burnt on it. I did wash everything and do the preheat as recommended and have used it three times now, for fries, a Bundt cake (my first cake in years!!, it was not a big mixture as I was worried it might do something wierd like overflow out of the pan, but I could have doubled the mixture) And dry roasting (on air fryer mode) cashews. All came out evenly cooked and Jimmy. I love love this, after living with an old gas oven (that was literally taped together but we didn't realize when we bought the house) and it uses heaps of gas (expensive!) And it gives off a lot of heat. Since we are in the throws of other major house repairs we have not even considered a new oven due to the cost, but the Ninja 10 in 1 is a lot less than having a new oven I stalled and I can cook everything we used to enjoy plus more. So glad I was looking at toaster ovens and found tthis, the degree of thought and design in these is so clear, even the nice little feet they have that won't scratch your bench. Beautiful, if you are considering this, I would encourage you to!!

Excellent product
This isn't my first Ninja tabletop oven so I am a big fan of its versatility, multi function and excellent product quality. However the oven is quite big for a tabletop so ensure you have the depth and height clearance.

Pretty Darn Good !
I love traditional cooking in a well equipped kitchen, but, even during Iowa winters, rain, sleet, snow, I will grill outside. I am a meat eater. I have been for all of my 74+ years. I grill for flavor, but also for retained fat reduction. Presently, my outdoor grill is the quite satisfying "ASMOKE 300"--"Portable." Frankly it has amazed me. It is my first "pellet" fired grill and has worked flawlessly. I offer that information, since one might rationally ask, : Then why a Ninja Foodi Combination Air Fryer/Convection Oven?" Well, I was not kind to the safety of my body and have walked away from some racing crashes that I likely should not have survived. And, genetics are not helping. Thus, I have extraordinary fatigue; so fatigued, in fact, that at 6' tall and 185 pounds, over around 5 months, I lost weight down to 147 pounds--what I weighed as a High School freshman, before my body matured over the following Summer. I was too tired to cook and/or eat. I only eat one time a day--an evening meal, but, no daytime snacking. I drink nearly a gallon of water a day. I did gain back a healthy amount of weight, but muscle mass is absent. NOW, on topic: I paid for the probe thermometer, but it did not arrive; it is allegedly on its way. Getting to CS was quick and the rep was responsive--no argument. I have a remote probe system that will suffice as I wait. (The ASMOKE has an included probe and it is very accurate.) I expect the same from Ninja. The three booklets that are included are excellent with clear and well organized instructions; 2 of the documents are repetitive, but that is a good thing. The third has very interesting recipes and I plan to try some. And, again, the recipes include use instructions. The control buttons are crisp and logical. The pre-progamming does not seem to be an interference. However, some procedures turn out to require "lying" to the" Foodi." Bread and butter were never on the dinner table as an essential. I only eat "Brownberry Whole Wheat,: "and not, daily. It does well in the refrigerator. Thus, if I want toast with eggs, then I have to fool "Foodi." For 2 slices, I have to tell it 3 slices and choose result at 4. It is a minor inconvenience, and in truth, is a good way to learn its powers and its limitations. I do get nice toast. I have only had the unit for part of a month, so I have not "Wrung it Out." It should be obvious that I want my meat seared--beef, pork(lots of pork, of course) and chicken, or lamb. If I do not grill, I sear in well seasoned carbon steel, usually with a small amount of avocado oil, or peanut oil. Last night, I used "Foodi" to broil a 1 1/8th" thick, 2" wide and 6+" inch long pork loin. It had been seasoned and in avocado oil in the "cooler," I have cooked many of these. Thus, going "manual," I set the unit on high and set time at 30 minutes. Per instructions, I used roasting pan on sheet pan on wire rack at level 3 (height) and fired it up. I had sprayed high temp cooking oil on the roasting pan, I also sprayed the sheet pan and put trimmed parchment paper between the two pans and placed them on the wire rack. I turned on the power and pushed start. At the "end-beep," I had a very juicy, fully cooked entree`. However, here is my COMPLAINT: There was no searing of any kind on either surface (I turned it once 1/2 way through. Were this not a premium cut of fine Iowa pork, to get any crust, even a light sear, I would have had to seriously over-cook it for any color. 1800 watts is probably marginal to actually sear. Next time, I will lie to "Foodi" again and try putting the rack and pans at level 4, but I doubt I will enjoy the clean-up. The more sensible option is to rub a bit of "Kitchen Bouquet" on the top when I flip the loin. NOW, on clean-up. Even with spray and no burned oil, cleaning the two black pans (roast and sheet) with only a quality detergent, reasonably hot water (I hand wash) and a sponge is unrealistic. The truth is, to get those 2 pans very clean, it took 2 washings and moderately vigorous use of the "green, non-woven abrasive) surface" of a fresh , usual green and yellow sponge. Having taken care to give those pans every chance of being "sponge-cleaned," I had to really work at those stubborn, ceramic-coated pans to get them clean to my standards. It angers me. But, I prefer the effort to potentially dangerous "non-stick" coatings. If I can do a macaroni and cheese casserole to end up with a nice crust, I will probably return to upgrade the stars if possible. Criticisms and suggestions welcomed !!

2-1/2 years in, and it's still working wonderfully
I have now had this for 2 and a half years. I use it regularly, it is what I have been using for all my baking, toasting, air frying, and pizza needs. I won't claim that it always performs perfectly as everything needs occasional tweaking when cooking, but so far all labeling has remained in tact, and it does a good job of cooking whatever I put in it. I love that it heats up quickly, then starts the cook timer, which means i can just toss in whatever, set it, and let it do it's thing, meaning that for a lot of cooking, I never have to worry about dealing with a hot oven, and it turns itself off after cooling a bit, which adds to the safety if like me you are often in another room, and sometimes distracted well past the end of cooking. I found it easy to get used to button placement so that I can operate it with the kitchen lights off. There are a number of functions I haven't used yet, and I haven't needed all the accessories that came with it, but they are great to have available. Personally I use the 2 racks, the basket, and one of the baking sheets it came with regularly. If anything I would get a second basket as I tend to use that the most. I have probably used this just as much as my microwave since I got it, it gives that properly cooked flavor you just don't get from nuking something. For the pizza setting, I recommend either collecting your pizza as soon as it's done, or reducing the cooking time, as I find it will burn the top of the pizza if I don't get to it before it self powers off. This is a heavy power draw appliance, it uses most of a 120v 15 amp circuit on its own when cooking. Please keep this in mind. I also have a 1250 watt microwave on the same circuit, I can't use both at the same time, I get around this by starting the oven, then set a timer on the microwave for how long the oven needs to cook plus some variation compensation, followed by the cooking settings for the microwave. This allows me to set both up, and then just collect everything when it's all done!

Works as advertised. Hassle free air frying! Great value!
Very easy to use. The learning curve on this is very shallow. Everything you need comes in the box. It toasts bagels to perfection, in my humble opion. Cooking a Prime Rib roast couldn't be easier with the built-in thermometer. Chicken wings, juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Love the air-fryer basket. Looking forward to another Prime Rib roast this Christmas. Very pleased. Great value.

Disappointed in Ninja
update 12/2/22 only a year old, just past warranty and now seeing Err 2 which means NO FIX! this is #4 oven and I am done with Ninja. I have the Speedi, Ninja blenders and another 4 different Foodi products for the kitchen, never again if they don't replace. A supervisor is supposed to call me later today but they told me I will need to spend another $200 plus for replacement? Are they crazy? Never again Ninja if they don't replace this piece of junk. Update, 12/24/21; lowering the rating to one star. The writing on the newest (third) oven is now coming off, just like the original oven I received!! Customer service at Ninja promised us this problem was fixed. I don't use anything on the handle to clean other than a damp cloth, no soaps at all, not even a cleaning sponge. Really frustrating because overall I like most of the features and especially the large interior. Oh well, I haven't decided if I will call Ninja customer service again because as a disabled senior, handling these large ovens is very difficult for me. I will probably call after the holidays. Really sad and disappointed in Ninja. Update, 10/6/21 new oven arrived in good condition and dealing with customer service at ninja was easy. BUT, this new oven doesn't get as hot as the original one!! OMG By now we just want to refuse the hassle getting another one sent, we will live with this one. It gets hot enough for most things, but temps are off enough that we have to keep an oven thermometer inside. Cooks at about 25-50 degrees cooler that set-point. Never reaches promised 450 degrees. Air roast gets the closest to set temp and makes nice roasted veggies. For pizza we need to set broiler. Still very frustrated!! update 7/3/21 less than three months and already the writing indicating the timer buttons, function buttons and heat levels on the handle are coming off!! Darn, this is so irritating, now I really need to remember which buttons are for which function!! Bummer Maybe I will call Ninja and see if they have a solution for this problem. 7/9/21 Ninja sent new "base oven" replacement (no racks or accessories) It arrived dented!! The people who packed it up knew it was dented because they tried to hide the dents. They are sending another one and made a promise this third on will be in perfect condition. We shall see!! What a friggin' hassle 1st review, This oven even fits my bread cloche! The casserole dishes fit nicely too. Very happy with the oven so far but haven't had it for long so can't yet comment on durability . Heats within 25-30 degrees of selected temp, heats to temp quickly for such a large oven and has great features. The light comes on when within a minute of complete time and also has a light switch function which is nice if you want to keep the light on. My main use besides bread is veggie roasts. I love crispy veggies that aren't overcooked and this oven does that beautifully. Also did a great job with oatmeal cookies. I was hoping to use the temp probe for baked potatoes but I think temp is off when probe is partway out of the food, and adjustment of oven temp is not possible, self adjusting? not sure about this? Still learning! So far very happy with this oven, but a bit overpriced.
