Stanley National N180-612 1.5" Heavy Duty Angled Hook (10 Pack)

Yeah, it's just a pegboard hook, but like others here, I've tried a lot of them and been frustrated by what should just be a simple, sturdy piece of metal. So many of them are cheap, don't fit well, or have an additional piece of plastic to secure them (which takes up adjacent holes). These hooks by National MFG fit snugly but are not overly tight, have the secondary securing support so the hook doesn't sway side to side, and are robust in thickness.

Shipment with this one item arrived today, earlier than expected. They seem to be of good quality but package has 8 pieces instead of the 10 that was advertised.

These are some sturdy pegs and do their job. I will say that I had some difficulty getting a few of the pegs in the board due to fit issues. This is the right gauge metal wire they are made from but some have the dimensions just a bit off where you have to struggle a bit to get it in the board. Not a big deal if you are never going to move it but if you like to change your setup every now and then (when getting new stuff to hang), the holes you had to enlarge to accommodate these may make other pegs wobble in that position.

For my purpose, they will not work. The bottom "peg" on the hook is larger than the hole. While it would be very secure once you forced it into the pegboard, it damages the boad by enlarging the hole. I need to move these hooks around for a while until I find the best position for tools. Galvanized finish is rough. Fine for a garage, but out of place in my workroom. Would return but a. got rid of the package and b. not worth the trouble. Glad I didn't buy more.

They cost too much for the quality you get. The locking peg breaks off and i had to braze a few of them.

I love these. They're so much cheaper to buy in this pack and just throw in the cart with my other items so that I even get free shipping (great for budget organizing). I can't find these at the big box stores, except in larger sets of assorted hooks, so it's really nice to find them on Amazon. They're also marvelously versatile. I use them on my garage pegboard for hanging my tools and sporting equipment, but also inside on my sewing pegboard. They're the perfect size for holding a standard spool of thread and I find it so much easier to organize them on a pegboard than any other way. I have already purchased 3 sets of these and intend to keep adding packs onto my other purchases until I can hang all my thread and tools. Would highly recommend these. :)

I was disappointed in the quality. The bottom peg doesn't line up with the hole in the pegboard on about 30% of them. I purchased 5 packages of these and that issue was consistent across all of them. If you try to bend it into shape the weld just breaks. I suggest ordereing extras to account for this.

These hooks are great but a couple of them didn't fit into the peg board due to the bottom peg not being completely perpendicular to the hooks rear. This was easy to fix with a vise or hammer, or you could just wiggle it and try to force it into the hole. Only took off one star for that, I have bought a lot of peg board hooks and its a common problem. I would recommend these to a friend.
