Believe the 1-Star Reviews on This One, Stay Away From This POS
During initial review I saw some 1-star reviews but I thought that maybe they were some form of operator error. Nope. This thing is certified turd. I had hoped that spending a little bit more would 1) allow me to use dry crystals directly in the hopper for ease-of-use and 2) get me a more quality product that worked better and lasted longer. Not only did I not get either of those, but what I got was a waste of time, about $10 worth of fertilizer and possibly a long-term ailment TBD. I had blue from the fertilizer ALL over my hands trying to deal with this POS. I even thought about putting on nitrile gloves before starting but it seemed like overkill. After all, I invested in the better sprayer and just needed to load the fertilizer in the hopper, connect a hose, set the dial and spray the area. What could be easier? It should be noted that the item arrived on-time and the packaging it was shipped in was 100% intact and undamaged. No way can any blame be assigned to something happening in shipment. What I didn't know that, of the 3 moving parts this device has, 2 of them failed on the very first use. Pretty sorry failure rate. It first leaked from the hose input, getting my feet wet. I thought that I had screwed the hose in fully (I'm not one to haphazardly make connections such as this) but tried to sung it down some more. Upon turning it back on, the sprayer was no longer spraying and was instead dribbling blue fertilizer water all over the place. I turned the switch to "off" to examine and then back to "dry" and it dribbled a few inches further. I tried to fertilize my plants standing literally right over them just to get the task done. Blue water was going everywhere and my fingers/hands were now stained blue trying fight this stupid thing. In the end, I had to give up after only getting probably 10-15% through my project when the valve that was causing it to dribble failed fully closed and there was no way at all to get anything other than dribbling down the side of the container. What a POS! I was standing in the sun for over an hour doing what should have taken less than 10 minutes total. I really wish I had trusted my gut on this one after reading the reviews that seemed to call out the same weak points on this sprayer. I wanted to post this experience to serve as a warning for others. Buying a "brand name" device that costs more thinking you're paying for a premium product that will serve you better and do a better job is a mistake with this one. I don't know if the no-name knock-offs are any better but they certainly can't be any worse. If I could give this less than a star I would because nothing about this earned even a single star. I don't know what corner cutting measures Chapin has made on the production/QC of this product or if it was ever even any good but Chapin should be ashamed with putting this product on the market as it's clearly not an isolated incident. I'll never buy anything with the name "Chapin" on it again.

UPDATED. Still not great. Actually bad.
UPDATE: save your money and just donโt buy. After using it as described below (in my earlier review) to attempt to fertilize my parentsโ garden, all setting have been rendered useless. It no longer mixes the concentrate with the water output. The evidence is twofold: one, the output water is not blue hued from the fertilizer, and two, the reservoir isnโt emptying. Now before you discount me as a disgruntled person who โmust be doing something wrongโ or โdoesnโt know what heโs doingโโฆ I do. I do my research and investigate and get to the bottom of things. Each ratio on the dial mixes through a different output, but as I used the product and one output would โdieโ I would just move up to the next ratio until it died and so on. I tried cleaning it and running water through, etc etc followed directions and all that. Just save your money and fertilize by hand. Or tell me which product you use instead of this one because Iโm returning it! EARLIER REVIEW: OK folks. Hereโs the tea: the sprayer is going to perform slightly underwhelmingly and the reservoir is most definitely going to leak horribly and pop off if you use it in the dry fertilizer function. HERES WHY: there is a design flaw with the amount of water being put into the reservoir versus the amount being put out of the end nozzle - but only when you use the granular fertilizer function. In granular function, there is siGniFiCAnTLy more water being put into the reservoir than is being put out the end, causing the reservoir to fill, build pressure, overflow and leak your chemicals horribly, and eventually dislodge fully. I tried every way I could to make it work, adjusted all the settings, and eventually decided just to make up a super concentrate of granular fertilizer in water and just use the liquid function instead. MORE BAD: overall, the different nozzle settings function adequately, but the โshowerโ function is underwhelming and uneven, projecting more toward the outside corners and lacking centrally. The jet function could probably strip paint off of a car and Iโm not sure the purpose of it being that strong unless there is some sort of distance fertilizing competition. The other functions seem fine. I assume mix ratios are within a certain margin of error. THE GOOD: I was expecting itโs to not mix well, but it seemed to do a decent enough job given that I donโt have a way to measure itโs precision of mix ratio. I will assume itโs at least close because none of my plants are fried and it eventually used up everything in the tank. Itโs comfortable and seems well-built structurally, but Iโm quite disappointed in the granular function I mentioned above, as well as the shower function of the nozzle. Would I recommend? Eh. Read the above and set your expectations accordingly.

๐ 10 stars - I needed this to wash my truck - Easy to use - Great price - Worked great
This little gem is just what I needed to wash my truck. I tried one of the expensive foamer vehicle wash nozzles. What a hot mess it turned out to be. It was expensive, it leaked horribly and I got as wet as the truck. No happy. I saw this while shopping for something else that would work. This seemed unlikely since itโs main use is for chemical spray but I read that the contents could be wet or dry. I donโt use any chemicals but this thing is great for what I need. I put in 4 ounces of McGuires Gold Class Car wash, turned the setting on liquid and full fan. It gave me a nice fan spray of soap that I could then use my Mr Clean Magic Eraser w/ Dawn and scrub the black acid rain off of my silver truck. It has a off lever so after scrubbing I turned it back on for more soapy water. After I was finished washing I attached my firemanโs hose nozzle and blasted away the black soap. Then I waxed the truck with McGuires liquid fast wax. I love this handy dandy tool. I will be using it to wash my vinyl siding as well. ๐

Works great
Works as advertised. I have read people not liking the dripping but seems like All these product types have that issue so I roll with it. I just know it works well which is what I need for my yard. Totally recommend. Fast arrival.

Useless sprayer!
I got this sprayer to apply nematodes to help eradicate our over abundance of bugs in the yard. I followed the directions for both the sprayer and the nematodes exactly. I set the sprayer on 2 oz per gallon, and started the back yard (our lot is over half an acre). I got about halfway done with the back yard and realized the stuff in the tank had not gone down very much at all (like maybe 4 oz), but I know I sprayed well over 2 gallons of water. I found, that in order for the mixture to go down at all, I had to have it set on at least 6 oz per gallon, then it, of course, went down at a rather rapid rate, for a while, then seemed to stop, unless I bumped it up again. I know I mixed the nematodes up really well, there were no clumps that should have clogged anything, and I figure if it were clogged, it wouldnโt go just by bumping up the amount, right?!? When I got to the end, it finally stopped taking the mixture from the tank at all, but instead, added water to the tank, so it was spewing out the top. Why?!? I donโt know, but, Iโm definitely requesting a refund and wonโt be getting this one again. I have no idea what kind of coverage I have with the nematodes I just spread out there, and $80 is a LOT of money to waste on something that may now not be applied properly to work effectively despite me doing everything it said to do.

Works as expected
I've never used one of these before so I'm not sure if it's better or worse than others. However it works well, a little awkward to hold and can be messy with liquids, but I love it, very convenient.

Missing parts
Returned the day I received because there was no spray nozzle or a hose connector for Australia. I think you can buy an adaptor with American thread from Bunnings but I would not recommend this to Australian buyers because our garden hoses don't have threaded brass ends.

The connection still leaks severely and cannot be used.
After trying many times, the connection still leaked badly and it was unusable, which was a waste of money.
