L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Stars Collection Lipcolour, Linda's Beige

The Stars Collection is a line I desperately wish L'Oreal would bring back. The permanent Never Fail lipcolours are nice, and work equally as well as these do, but are a little on the bland side, in terms of color, for my tastes. When I saw it was still on Amazon, I went ahead and ordered Beyonce's Red and Diane's Tuberose which I'm waiting on arriving now.I got my first taste of the line this past Christmas when my dear friend busted out her nearly gone Beyonce's Red and had me try it on. I looove it. Seriously though, this shade is loud and very bright. Depending on your skin color it'll look different on you though. My friend has a gorgeous tan Puerto Rican skintone and the color looked more muted and less "Firetruck red" on her than on me with my lovely pale skin that practically gives off it's own light source. She looked closer to Beyonce rocking her red, while I was over here channeling Gwen Stefani. That said, this is a shade that will work with just about anyone's undertone, should you be brave enough to don it. No worries about it being too orange based, or too blue based for you. It's pretty much smack in the middle.As for application and formula, it can be tricky if you've not used a long-wearing liquid lipstick before. Basically you need to get it all on your lips in a relatively THIN coating, too much and you'll turn it gloopy and it won't dry properly. You don't need a whole lot of product, these colors are very opaque and the formula is amazing enough that it's easy to apply. I've never had an issue of making a mess around my lip-line, I don't really understand what the ladies who are complaining about it being easy to mess up are doing. Just don't slop it on and go slow around the edges and you'll have a great line. Now for the drying part! The best way to do it is to hold open your lips in an "O" shape for about 2 minutes so the corners of your lips don't touch and cause the color to flake. 2 minutes minimum of drying, then bounce on the glossy moisture balm until your lips are slick enough to swipe it on, swiping it immediate runs the risk of chipping/flaking off the color. I routinely get at least 16 hours of wear out of these colors, with the only fade being very slight around the inner part of my lips.I'll update with info on Diane's Tuberose shade once it arrives.

I have this lipstick in 4 colors. It is truly amazing, all day wear. "Beyonce Red" was my first foray and is probably still my favorite, though a very intense bright red- more appropriate for summer than fall.For fall I went with a more subtle red in "Crimson". So many compliments and I don't feel like I have to be at the top of my confidence to wear it. "Beyonce Red" however, you better bring your diva A-game.I then went with "Hibiscus" because I was looking for a smokey rose, but unfortunately it's metallic 80's pink - I still wear it but I am not as confident wearing it nor as happy. It also doesn't wear as long and strong. I believe the metallic base is the reason for this.I then went with "Diane's Tuberose" because I wanted a more adult coral. It's a nice color with the right clothes and jewelry (think browns and golds) but is a little more brown than coral- I'd recommend adding a tiny bit more pink to the mix if L'Oreal made this special edition again. I will also say the the "Diane's Tuberose" has not held up as well-product wise. It flakes and balls up on my lips and I end up wiping it away because it looks and feels gross; whereas all of my others stay on like marker. I think it may be a little old is the reason for that. I'd have to do some research on when this shade was released- this is the one point I'd caution others on.My take away for you on this product:- the right shade will make you feel happy and beautiful for 8 hours plus-the wrong shade will make you feel less-than-confident and angry to boot, as you stand in the mirror at work trying to scrub the stuff off to no avail, only to make your face pink and irritated, with sad bits of color that will not go away!-go with a solid color versus something with sparkle/metallic/pearl: it will stay on longer and you will look more timeless than trendy(or out of date depending on what's in)-buying a special edition cosmetic online that is not available in stores anymore may prove to be a bad idea after all.-lastly, this is the best lipstick EVERRRRRR

So, I am one of those women who wears red lipstick EVERYDAY. I am not exaggerating, every day. I probably have about 20 different shades and 10-15 different brands of red and I still have yet to find one that I really like.I was hoping to finally find one that did everything I wanted, but I guess I can't be too picky.It DOES stay on for a VERY long time, HOWEVER, you do have to touch it up if you eat more than once, it starts to come off a bit around the inner lip section, but that has the most moisture so I guess that's expected.It DOES chip off it you don't keep putting the bomb on, I personally can't stand to reapply that stuff every hour and a half so that's probably why it doesn't work so well for me.It IS hard to get off. I have to scrub really hard with my makeup remover to get it off.It IS a bit sticky. When you put it on, keep your lips apart for thirty seconds or so otherwise it will be a bit sticky.And lastly I am more of a Matte finish person, this is super glossy, shiny and looks constantly wet.Basically, I'll wear it if I'm going to go out on a date and don't want to have to keep staring at my lips, but it seems to be more trouble than not to just wear one of my others that don't really please me either...If anyone could recommend one that they found that is amazing, please let me know.IE, no smudge.No flake.No Shiny.No drying out of the lips.
