Nice Looking Crate!
I needed a soft crate for use in my new car, and decided on this one because of cost and color, and so far I am happy with it. In the old car we had a fancy wire crate that we left in the car full time. The new car doesn't have the same amount of space in the cargo area, so I wanted a soft crate I could put in the back seat when we want to take the dog. It just fits through the back door without having to take it down, put it in the car, then put it back up again, which was the one thing I was worried about. The fabric is a good weight, and seems to be well stitched. It has one opening in the front and one on the top, and has mesh "windows" all around for plenty of airflow. AS a nice little bonus it comes with a handy matching bag that clips to the crate that is large enough to store not only leash and collar, but also a bottle of water and a small bag of food. The poles used to hold the crate in its unfolded state feel a bit flimsy, but strong enough to do their job. The only real complaint I have it the mechanism that locks those poles together inside is a pop-up button (Like on the old metal vacuum cleaner poles) that can be difficult to depress to take the crate back down. They add to the "cheap" feeling of the poles, and could definitely be of higher quality. However, the design is such that even if the buttons were to quit working, the crate would still be able to be raised and collapsed. The front and back ends that fold down push against each other when raised, so even without the buttons working the crate would stay up.It comes with a thin faux sheepskin type pad in the bottom, but you may want to add a blanket for additional comfort. Since this crate is meant to be portable, having a really thick pad would keep if from folding properly, so I don't mean for that to sound like a flaw. In fact, though it is thin, it is soft enough for short term use on its own. The color is a dark red or burgundy color a bit darker than I thought it would be based on the picture, but very nice looking. I also like the shape of the crate, with the sides folding in a bit at the top. The carrying case it comes with is the typical zip-up bag, made of the same material at the bulk of the crate.Overall I like the crate. It looks nice, and will work well for my needs. It is not as tough as it could be, but for the price I think it is a good deal. I don't think it would stand up to a lot of abuse, but again, it is not really meant to be. I am very happy with it, and would definitely buy again.

Really great product
I received the pet crate today to be used for a 7 yr. old kitty when I travel south. It came when promised and was very easy to set up. It seems very durable. I sprayed a favorite toy with catnip and tossed it in. Of course he was quite nosey and poked around in it. When I passed a short time later, he was very comfortably laying as though it had been his for quite some time. Truthfully, I'm shocked that he took to it so quick. I suppose the real test will be tomorrow when I put the crate in the backseat and take him for a ride to get used to it. Hoping he'll not avoid it once it's back in the house! There's a fleece type fabric on the floor pad which is backed by vinyl. I'll try to remember to update this review once I've reached my destination in a few weeks.

OK for the money and if your dog has dull claws and likes crates......
I purchased this crate for our car trip halfway across the country. I wasn't sure if the hotels we would be staying in would require the dog be in a crate. It folds down compactly, the storage bag is nice. I like the color, it's easy to set up. The problem is that my dog, who was a fairly new to our family, didn't like being put in the crate. When we got back to the cabin, he was free and happy. He had clawed his way through the mesh at the end of the crate. So, if your dog is used to being crated, and doesn't have long claws like our poodle, then this could be the perfect item for your travels. I ended up leaving it in Wisconsin as it would do me no good after that. I am glad it was only $30.

... travel and in the car but it is definitely sturdy enough for everyday use
Bought this to primarily use for travel and in the car but it is definitely sturdy enough for everyday use. Love that it comes with a bag to carry it in-super convenient! The extra pocket and removable zippered pocket are also a great added bonus. I use them to hold leashes, toys, poop bags and paw wipes. The pad is also a good thickness for a travel crate. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect size, described accurately, good construction
Bought this for the car, which won't fit our bigger crate in the trunk. This crate was easy to set up, seems just as durable as the other, much more expensive, crate. Doesn't have a horrible smell, like some fabric crates have, but it does have a bit of a plastic smell. For the price and the purpose, I have no complaints and neither does the dog.

Our new puppy went to sleep the VERY FIRST NIGHT AND EVER SINCE in this very nice crate. She also might whine a few notes but goes right in her secure "haven" for both naps and bedtime.

Good quality and easy to use
It looks great and is the size I expected it to be. It has two bags attached for storage that could fit a leash, doggie bags, or a frisbee. It is also very easy to set up and put away and there is a nice pad inside that can be removed to wash.

It is sturdy and easy to collapse and put back together
It is sturdy and easy to collapse and put back together. It is a little too big for my cavalier King Charles, so I put a dog bed inside. It is also large for the backseat. Wish it was a little smaller. Works great as a travel crate.
