Even though each of the parts are replaceable they refuse to send any parts, or even provide you with where to purchase. Each of the parts get “funky” after a while and will need to be replaced.The two star rating is because instead of just replacing the parts you will have to throw this expensive item away. I would of given this 5 stars had the company that makes them offered customer support and was not so wasteful in requiring their customers to throw away an expensive item because it needed to be replaced.

This carafe keeps our morning coffee hot as long as we need. The lid is easy to your and works well. The Elina is a replacement for a much more expensive carafe I ordered many years ago from Germany. That older carafe did a job very well for perhaps 15 years but finally had an issue with corrosion. I can not complain about the years of good service it gave. However this new Elina is a great value for the price. As an engineer, my initial thoughts on this Frieling Elina is that it seems to have improved the design on the area where I finally got corrosion on my older carafe. Time will tell.
