I thought that the USB cable would be used to charge the pump, but the pump is not battery powered. The USB cable needs to be plugged into a power source, i.e. a computer or phone charger. That means you need to be next to a power source to use it which could be a problem if you are travelling or camping.The pump has blue LED lights which flash when it is running. The lights are pretty but seem to do nothing. I thought the pump and/or lights would turn off when the maximum vacuum had been reached but that doesn't seem to happen. You have to guess when there is no more air to be sucked out. The bag gets hard when there is no more air inside.The pump nozzle and bag connect together easily, but I have not tried using the pump with a non-VMSTR bag as the connection might not work. You could probably use the VMSTR with a 'normal' vacuum cleaner hose, but I haven't got one to try.

Problem with vacuum bags on HOLIDAY is you need a vacuum sweeper to re vacuum your bags to get your clothes back in your suitcase for your return. This solves this problem .you just plug in the mini pump and away you go. Brilliant.

Bags seem fine but the pump is weak and so takes an age to suck out air, managed it but help from leaning on bag to get every bit of air out.

They're OK for small things like underwear and clothes but, not for anything else. OK for travelling and easy to use.

Brilliant. So compact, device is really compact too for travelling with. I’m so glad I bought these. They stayed vacuumed for weeks without letting air in before I opened the packets.

One of the bags has not deflated properly it keeps filling up with air must have a hole in itIt's the largest one as well so not happy !
