BAAPET 2/4/5/6 FT Dog Leash with Comfortable Padded Handle and Highly Reflective Threads for Small Medium and Large Dogs (5FT-1/2'', Silver)

We recently adopted a 115 lb dog from a local adoption event. We were told she was a Boxer/Mastiff mix, but that was just their guess. Whatever she is, she is STRONG. We had a basic leash that we use for our smaller dog, but it just wasn't cutting it. This girl is big, strong, and doesn't have the best leash manners. She isn't wild while on the leash, but when she walks she can easily pull my 5'2", 130 lb frame around. I started searching on Amazon for a stronger leash and came across this one. Our 6 year-old liked the Hot Pink color and I liked the fact that it qualified for Free Same-Day shipping. As soon as the package arrived, I put the leash on our pup and took her outside. This leash made it SO MUCH easier to keep control of her. She can still pull me, but this particular leash has allowed me more leverage and I am not afraid that she will be able to break it as I was with the other leash. Last night my husband said, "You like that leash, don't you?" I absolutely do!My purchases on Amazon are heavily influenced by the reviews of others. I wanted to wait a bit before writing a review, so I could get a good idea of how well this leash works. I'm pleased to say that this is one of the best leashes I've ever used! I'm currently loose leash training a 6 month lab mix who has never been trained to walk on a leash, or even wear a collar/harness. Paired with her starter harness, this leash has been incredibly effective to gently, but firmly redirect her to walk along side me, and has just the right amount of tension. It also gives her enough slack to let her explore without having the leash pulled taunt constantly. It is comfortable to hold, and after a while of successfully walking her beside me I forget it's on my wrist. I will definitely buy this leash again, if this one ever wears out!

I recently rescued a German shepherd/hound mix who weighs 80 lb with zero sense when it comes to walking on a leash LOL. I've been using this for a week now & first of all, the handle is so comfortable! The strength is wonderful & the quality actually surprised me. I love that the threading is also reflective.

This leash arrived today and it seems sturdy, but....It smells awful! The plastic clasps REEK like spilled gasoline. They spread this stank to your hands with the lightest touch and the smell does not wash off.I do not know how harmful this actually is, but if inhaling gasoline fumes is problematic, this is much worse. The smell will be wherever you keep the leash. It will be on your hands after repeated washing. And perhaps most distressingly, it will also wind up on your dog who has 5000 times more acute smelling than you do, so he/she will likely be miserable to be saturated by the smell of gasoline.This is an absolutely disgusting, and perhaps dangerous, product. ZERO STARS.

*Update*I love using this leash! My dog hasn’t chewed through it yet or done any damage. Well, the foam around the wrist was punctured once, and I imagine if he gets to chewing that part, it’ll easily come apart in pieces and I’ll be sad. But it’s holding up well, and my wrist is comfortable.Will reorder again in the future.Very pleased with this leash. My new dog likes to walk himself and occasionally chew on the leash so I will update at a later time how it holds up.

i took a pic with the flash to show off the effectiveness of the reflectors. this rope leash really is durable. dont have to EVER worry about a snapped leash even with the most aggressive pullers. my puppy seems to notice this somehow and doesnt pull as much with this leash. also, shes tried to chew on it a few times and it shows absolutely no sign of wear. the padded hand hold makes for a much more comfortable walk for you and gives more control over puppy. this leash is a perfect length for puppy to have freedom to smell without straying into the road. this leash is great and (big) IF i ever need another leash, this will be my go-to item!

I bought 2 of these leashes for my dogs. One is a feisty, sassy old 30 pound dog and the other is a playful 60 pound chewer. I saw them in the pet store for sale for $25 and I thought that since the price on here was remarkably lower, what the heck, I’ll buy it online.The chewer decided to give it a go the first time she was attached to it. I thought, oh god, she is going to chew through this leash the first 5 minutes I have it...but I was wrong. She has not chewed through this leash. I’m not sure how it isn’t ruined yet, but it is holding up miraculously well.The leash, with it’s nice padded handle, has been great for taking my fiesty dog for walks. No more red indentations from his leash on my hand.For the price, this product cannot be beat.

I purchased 2 of these leashes at the same time. One of them arrived with the black plastic part that covers the seems unglued. I *believe* it serves more of an asthetic function than actually adding strength to where the cords connect so rather than sending it back for a replacement I am just going to super glue it back. These leashes are a bit longer than i prefer (the description says 5 ft but i am 5’5 and if i hold the leash at the top of my head the hook touches the floor) but the handle cushion is really nice and thus far they have survived my one puppy who finds it hilarious to chew on his leashes and typically chews through most others rather quickly. I would purchase again!

Greetings,Some laugh at me when I use this leach for MarcoPolo, my cat. But when a German-Shepperd attacked us, I had my catin my arms and I swing my five feet leach to the dog saying to sit in a loud voice, giving the master of the dog the timeto realize and react and to tame his dog. The dog wanted to play It was obvious, but try to convince your cat. Fromthat moment on, what I hear is "what a nice cat you have, what race is it", funny, not to my cat who know I can protecthim.Kind Regards

This is poorly made. The product description goes to great lengths to show how they have improved it from the old design, and then shipped me the old design. It lasted about 2 weeks. The stiching that hold the loop together is very weak, and it failed quickly. I had to throw it away.

one walk with a puppy on this lead and he has dislodged the rubber cover over the first join of the lead.... product says strong glue used, puppy said "need stronger glue or use more of it" , lead good and comfy.

Ive been using this for a few months now and its great on my daily morning walk with my German shepherd. Quality is great for price and comfortable to hold.
