Good textbook
Here's the thing: nobody likes college textbooks. They're boring, they're long, they're expensive, and most of the time, when are you going to use a textbook after the class is over? I took Michael Olpin's Stress Management class at WSU and it was the BEST CLASS I've ever taken. You know the whole "when am I going to use this in real life?" trope? You'll use this class after the class is over. And the textbook is great, even after class. It has great advice in it, as well as exercises, tips, and other useful information regarding stress management. This book is probably the only textbook that I wanted to keep after the class was over.

A good study
This is a well written book geared for the 4 year degree health science major. It helps you take a look at the "big picture" and allows you to practice what you've learned. The key to handling stress is your Awareness.

Perfect for older teens/younger 20’s
This would be a great book to give to your senior in high school or first or second year college student. It’s been used at the college I’m in as the textbook for the elective stress management class; unfortunately it literally “speaks to” kids and it just isn’t applicable to adult learners. The techniques and concepts are completely appropriate for anyone but the book is literally written to address the needs and concerns of late teens/early 20’s and does not consider or include anyone over maybe the age of 26. For example it’s suggest that to save money you should go do your laundry “at your parents house”. 60 to 75% of the people in my class are the parents!!! Great book but be aware of this!
