My nephew loves playing with it. It keeps him entertained for about an hour then he'll drag it around the house. He comes back to it through the day. It's a great way to let him be creative and not mess up the house.

Bought this as a gift for my 2.5 year old. He loves it. He LOVED the dinosaurs on the side, the "markers", paint brush pen, and stamps were easy to use. Took a star off because the roller stamp came damaged, but other than that, everything was perfect. My son loves to color and this is a great mess free LARGE area for him to color on. Definitely would recommend if you have a little artist.Just a note: my son colors really hard so some of the coating rubbed off and left marks so if you want to avoid that from happening just remind your little one to be gentle!

We bought this for our grandsons 2nd birthday and he loved it! He played with it until all the water was used in the pens LOL. We love that he can scribble all over it and if he happens to stray off the mat it is just water and we don't have marks all over everything. The little brush thing is a little odd and didn't work very well. We also learned if you tighten it too much it will crack, which happened the second time we filled it up. But since the brush was awkward anyway it wasn't a huge deal to us because there are many other pens, stamps etc to use that worked. The pens are easy to fill and last a surprisingly long time. The instructions say to soak the tips for them to work the best. We skipped this step because we didn't see it until we opened it up and of course the 2 year old was eager to start drawing. Even without the soaking the pens worked and he was drawing away as soon as the pens had water in them. We bought the 40x32 and it was the perfect size. Not too big but big enough where 2 adults and a 2 year old could all have plenty of space to draw/doodle/scribble. This was a huge hit and I would not hesitate to give this as a gift or recommend it if you are looking for a creative outlet for your kids.

My 18 month old baby and my 15 year old teenager hang out for hours at a time drawing on this water mat. It's one of my best purchases. Even I draw on it sometimes its so much fun. I have it hanging on my wall next to a window so lots of natural light. Great size too.

Easy to use and fun for young kids and I even had fun playing along

I previously purchased this for my niece when she was about 2, and have newly purchased it for my 15mo son -- he had shown an interest in colouring but kept putting the crayons in his mouth, so this option seemed suitable to get him the skills while we learn to not put everything in your mouth. He absolutely loves it! He will point excitedly at the mat (folded up on the shelf) when he wants to use it, squeal when I get the message and take it down, and scribble like a maniac on the mat with the "markers". Yes, he tries to put them in his mouth and I have to take it away sometimes, but in general he just loves to scribble. Note that his attention span isn't great so it'll offer entertainment for about 5 minutes before he's onto the next thing, but we use it frequently so it's def getting its money's use :)About the product itself, it is holding up well, no stains on it (as I read on some other reviews), dries nicely, feels durable, comes with lots of accessories (we put most aside, just have a few "markers" and stamps out), and has cute animal letters around the outside that he loves pointing at and having me tell him what they are.Def recommend :)

Works really well and the pens and stamps are a really great bonus. Bought one for my daughter’s 1st birthday party and all the kids (1-6yrs) loved playing with it. Dries at a good rate and it’s nice having the letters on there for older kids to trace.
