Dr. Barbara Bowers was a lady who had an amazing gift of discerning the slightest difference between hues and colors. She also could see auras. In her book "What Color Is Your Aura?", she catalogues humanity into that correlates with their aura color: 14 distinct personality patterns: red, orange, magenta, yellow, physical tan, mental tan, green, nurturing tan, loving tan, blue, violet, lavender, crystal and indigo. Her book also contains an in-depth questionnaire to determine your predominant personality type and aura.Bowers explains each of the 14 colors and how each approaches physical reality, their mental attitudes, emotional makeup, social style, compatibility with the other 13 colors, personal power and leadership style, financial choices, career options, and spirituality. I've picked up this book 12 years ago... and I love it just as much to this day. Rather than relying on horoscopes, this aura book gives you a lengthy questionnaire to decipher your own aura.Auras are described by Bowers, similar to a colorful energy field; ever changing in strength, clarity, and may even be eclipsed. I was intrigued.I enjoy that this is a personal growth book that becomes individualized based on your personal perspective and experience. I found that when I had initially taken the quiz, from another retesting recently, that my aura color may actually be different from what my first result was.Regardless, I think it is so insightful in terms of helping you understand yourself, wherever you are in life. It's a great resource for good times and bad, and is more than just saying you are "happy" "good with money" blah blah blah.You'll find that this book gives you helpful indications of why you think or act the way you do. I highly recommend it.

1/3 of our personality is part Aura, the other parts are the Eastern and Western astrology, at least for this review. This really does help on a inner level on why we behave or act the way we do. Its our basic structure of our belief system in our own personal environment on the Emotion level. Astrology is 2/3 part of our belief system for our outside environment on the physical level.

Bought this book for my mom, who got it from a friend. It's almost a personality quiz and my mom thoroughly loved reading it and even started filling it out for other people to see what it said for them.

This book is junk. Anyone who believes in auras and that stuff knows your color changes. Your not set in blue or red, it's never that simple and this book tries to simplify everything which you just can't do. So all in all this book is a waste of time and money if your looking for serious info and not just some random persons beliefs or explanation as this book contains.The descriptive details are all so vague almost every description is the same!I would compare this to a bad horoscope book.It's just bad.

This book is amazing - incredible and so insightful. I actually cried when I read certain parts of it. IT is a testing book for aura testing.

This book is a gem. Along with the book : "Please Understand Me 2" - this one helped me understand myself more clearly. Thank you to the author and I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a little more insight into their true self.

Easy to read and gives good insight into the qualities and characteristics of different aura colours. I am enjoying using this as another tool to understand the experience of the soul on earth and to improve my sense of spirituality.

Great read

The Author is the REAL deal and the info is accurate, although I do believe that changes on this earth since the time of publishing make lots of the 'advice' outmoded. Years ago a friend of mine had one of (Barbara's) other books and was going to a seminar lead by Barbara at Findhorn. He took pictures with him of myself and another flat mate because Barbara was able to perceive aura colour from a photo. I was therefore told what my colour is, also she said that the aura of our other (male) flat mate had 'the site of a woman' ... he later confided in us that he identified as a woman and came out as a transvestite/transgender. I would say that this is pretty empirical evidence about the information in this author's books. However, as a person whose aura is Blue with a Violet overlay, I don't think I could have worked this out from the questionnaire, since many of the traits overlap with Indigos and Chrystals.... I would also say as a Blue ray, channelled messages from another Blue ray named Shakina Rose make much more specific sence to me at this time on this planet as a blue ray individual.

I was going to to read about auras but with all the underlining and scribbles it was impossible. An unusable copy which if i had known about the condition i would not have purchased.
