- Savage Gear 3D Wake Snake Fishing Hard Bait

It is safe to say that savage gear excels in the quality of these lures. After receiving this lure I caught a 4 pound trout on the first cast! 5 casts later I was unhooking a small spotted bass nearly the same size as the lure! Afterwards I proceeded to toss it straight into a tree and went home unhappy. About a year later the tree with my catching lure fell down and I was baffled to find the lure completely free any rust. It is still tightening the line to this day.

This snake lure looks and works awesome. The action is amazing and it really performs like a real snake. I have used it a few times so far and the pictures speak for themselves. Seems well made with razor sharp treble hooks. Would definitely purchase again in different colors. Like most top water baits conditions have to be right and if there is fish around they will strike this bait.

Very real looking in the water

Used it for the first time yesterday and the action is amazing. In the water slow rolling you would have a hard time telling the difference between this lure and the real thing. I haven't caught anything with it yet but it's almost the middle of October. I'm going to wait until next spring to use it again when I start seeing snakes on the lake. Bass do eat snakes late spring to early summer. Bass are opportunistic hunters.

I bought one of these a few years ago and on the first cast right at the ramp, a pike smashed it and broke me off. Well, there went 25.00. So I had to get another one, right? So now I'm 50.00 into this thing and when my buddy saw that it really worked, I got him one for his birthday. Now I'm 75.00 into this lure. But my buddy told his friend who I also fish with, so I had to get him one, too. Now I'm 100.00 into this lure. And of course, I had to have all 4 patterns. I find they all work equally well. I like the rattle snake the best although rattlesnakes are not prevalent in our area. The bass and pike don't care. So now I'm 175.00 into them. Fishing the SNAKE can be expensive but they are fun to use, easy to cast a long way and they do catch big fish. *****Best to not let your buddies see them.

This snake is very well crafted and glides very nicely in the water, however, I haven’t had a single bite and after a handful of us uses, I have noticed some of the paint chip off.

I am a fifty year pro at topwater bass fishing and this is the most amazing and realistic lure i have ever used. If you don't get a strike on this lure its not because of the lure either there is no bass in the immediate area or the topwater bite is off. weather is a major factor in bass activity. Great for night musky fishing

These work well for ling cod but after a few fish the hooks rip out. Company will warranty only once. Works well but not a durable product
