Flextec Streamtec 4 – Piece Cane for Fly Fishing (Carbon Fiber)

This rod has a very bad quality in the final section of the rod. The last section has broke three times in less than two years, because it is an empty cylinder not filled with carbon fiber or graphite, its totally empty like you can see in the image below. The solution that tackle discounts offers even being under guarantee is paying 25 libs for the section and the shipping, which is almost a new fly rod. I won't be buying any flextec thing again with this customer policy and the bad quality of the last section of the rod (the rest is ok).In addition to this, I have to say that they are always using a strategy of very big discount, I mean, they say that the rod costs 250 libs and they sell it for only 60 libs, which is not true, the rod costs 60 or so (in my opinion much less or nothing because of breaking) and they sell it for that price, its not a discount or something like that.

very well made rods nice mid to tip action i got the streamTec 10" 3wt i have never used a 3wt rod before i thought it mitebe a bit lite as im used to 7 wt rods. but for river fishing it was just the job i would recommend flexTec rods very good buy.cheers

i purchased this rod on 7 may and used it three times due to the bad weather and the tip snapped.i tried for a free replacement part under what i believe to be a warranty.only to be told i have to pay for the poor workmanship quality myself.i am not emused and will in future shop elsewhere.

Arrived in good time. Seriously over-packaged though. Have only used it once and I love it: perfectly balanced with a #3 w/f line and casting a delight. Excellent value. Drew a blank nevertheless!

10 foot #3 weight perfect for czech nymphing well finished and nice rod tube couldn't be happier highly recommended

I thought this was an ok rod and a bit of a bargain so bought 2. One was ok but the other 10ft #3 I got for french nymphing was not so good.Firstly the cork around the handle was not fitted correctly and was creaking. Also the screw nuts around the reel seat also jammed and I couldn't free the reel and worst of all the rod tip snapped like a matchstick but thank god I wasn't playing a decent fish at the time.Be warned, as someone already mentioned, on the face of it it seems a decent rod but in reality you get what you pay for and I have since bought a Greys streamflex and wished I got that to begin with.

I would like to say, to anyone who is looking to purchase a good quality fly-rod at an affordable price, LOOK NO FURTHER than this little beauty. Its quality is truly outstanding, Its price is unbelievable,and its action is up there with the big-boys. It comes with a quality rod-tube that you just sling over your shoulder and off you go. I have to be honest - I wasn't expecting anything exceptional, especially at that price: I was merely looking for a back-up to the rod that I use now. However, this rod beggars belief, it easily compares with rods that are on sale now at three times the cost of this little gem. I really cannot tell you how pleased I am with my purchase, oh, by the way - delivery was prompt also.Tight-lines everyone.
