Great foil transfer tool for the Cricut maker 3
Works great as expected, reliable and easy to use as is most Cricut tools. Little bit expensive however it is worth the money when you see the results you get from using it.

Quality of product
I always buy genuine Cricut blades and materials and have never had any issues with either. Blade is as described and the delivery was prompt and packaged well. I would buy from this company again.

Time consuming and fiddly but nice effect
I do a lot of foil effect as part of my business. So when a new gadget comes out I like to try it. I really liked the concept of this and was excited to try it. Overall it works but takes a lot of fiddling and resources to achieve the effect. Cons It took 3 attempts to keep the foil down well enough not to be pulled up and spat out by the circuit. I underestimated itās need for being so firmly stuck down. My first attempt was with some strong masking tap. This failed 20 seconds in.second attempt was with the sticky tabs included. I applied this to the sides but cut them smaller as I didnāt want the tape to block the grid. This also failed. Third attempt I had to rework the design so I could accommodate large pieces of tape to take down. So when you account all the faffing, fiddling and waste, itās not the best tool for regular use. These attempts were after trying out other foils. I tried a few and most didnāt work, so you are limited to the expensive Cricket ones. Pros When done the finish is more professional looking than you would get via heat transfer. It gives the image / text an embossed look, because of course it uses pressure to attach the foil. So Iām going to keep this tool and might use it for pretty A3 poster work that has intricate designs. It may get used or may end up in a draw, for me. I think itās worth the purchase if you are not planning to use it regular, more for hobby use. I plan to try this out on other materials (fabric and wood) so may update my review once Iāve done this.

Yep - works!
Adds a great dimension to card making and other crafts. The only limitations are your imagination and the size of the foil sheets. Yes, not the cheapest process (per sheet) but you won't be using this on absolutely everything. Great for personalising. Note though that even the widest tool still only makes quite a fine line, so this system is for adding text and squiggly bits: it won't do blocks of metallic design in the way that a hot foil press works. You can get fancy branded tape to hold the foil in place on the mat, but standard washi works just fine. It is all a bit faffy. Make sure that you keep the foil very carefully as it will scratch and leave gaps in your foiling. The sheets are like handling spider webs. Good addition to your crafting stash - providing of course that you already have a Cricut!

Be careful!
Had my cricut maker 3 for over a year now, and noticed the cuts were a bit jagged. Bought a new blade and they cut beautifully again. Just be careful replacing because I did cut my finger in the process!

Yes, you need this tool.
Ok, I was dubious about this product. The reviews weren't great and I though 'why do I need another Cricut tool?' So I dithered for ages and this week I wanted to do some foiling on a project so I bought it. WOW. I can see why the reviews are negative, and it is a bit of faffing about but the results are so worth it. I have a Cricut Maker, so not sure how well this works on the Explorer or Joy. I am also a subscriber to Jennifer Maker (American) who has some brilliant tips on how to use this product, and thanks to her I got fantastic (not perfect) results the first time so I recommend you watching her video (I wish I got commission!) I will be buying more foil and using it on a lot more projects. As usual with Cricut, experimenting is key. I have uploaded a photo, but it doesn't do it justice. Still all things being expensive with Cricut, I would buy this on sale as I did.
