Works great. Reliably Connects
Easy installation and set up. Camera always connects on demand and video quality is decent. The ap let's you set up how and when it records and the cloud based recording is really nice.

Great For Keeping An Eye on Indoor Spaces
We use these cameras to monitor the basement at a house on Cape Cod for flooding/leaks when we're not there during the winter. I also have one in the garage as we store a car there. We have 3 in our home on the West Coast, to monitor basement/garage door, back door, and inside the front door of the house in case of breakins. With full monitoring of both systems, we feel very confident in the image quality, night vision, and motion detection of these cameras. One complaint: they seem to lose their WiFi connection kind of easily if they're in a weaker part of your network signal. We installed an Eero mesh system at the Cape Cod house and now they cameras all work great.

Very good camera
This camera is awesome. The Look is very nice, the price is fair and worth it, there is zero Lag viewing the camera, and in my opinion, the best part is the privacy shutter. The privacy shutter works very nicely if you don’t want to think you are spying on anyone and can be controlled with or without the SimpliSafe alarm system but needs the app The durability is perfect, and no need to worry about batteries.

decent ... but you don't have options if you have simplisafe...
Decent camera. Overpriced for what you get. However, you don't really have a choice if you have a simplisafe system. IT does work and is decent. I found field of view to be good. Privacy shutter is nice. Connection took a couple tries. It utilizes a QR code the camera scans ... this did not work well for me- took multiple tries and camera was very fussy about reading it. But once it finally got it, it worked fine.Video quality is okay, not exciting, but not 'cheap' looking or bad. Low light/ night is fair - not great, but usable. If you need an interior cam attached to simplisafe this works and is a decent camera. It integrates well into the simplisafe ecosystem/app once connected. At the list price, it just feels like a bit of a gouge. If it was like $25 cheaper, it would feel about right, like a fair value for the $$.

Excellent Definition
Had trouble connecting other cameras because I have 5GHz WiFi but went SimpliSafe because I just installed their new security system. Couldn’t get QR Code to connect until after reading another review I took a photo of it and blew it up then it connected immediately. The paperwork says it requires 2.4GHz but I think my xfinity modem which normally transmits on 5GHz will also transmit 2.4GHz. Anyway once it connected setting up the rest of the camera is easy. Definition is excellent. Just ordered five more.

I Don't Like Leaving Negative Reviews but...
I've looked up Simplisafe and every place I look shows them as 30,000+ people give them a 5 Star review. In my opinion, that's just not possible. I've had them for over two years and it's been simply awful! Customer support just gives you the run around. I've had to call them 5+ times since installing the system and every time I get, "it's your internet". I have upgraded to the fastest internet I can get. I've even purchased new modems and routers because I thought they must know what they are talking about. Here's an example....the doorbell rings. I open the app and click on the doorbell and it spins and spins and about 70% of the time it tells me the connection is lost. By the time I get the camera up, the person has left. Even in the house when I check the camera upstairs, I lose connection. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, removed batteries from the base station and reinstalled, etc. Nothing makes it better. I have "events" turned on and my recordings won't work and even when it does, it will say it was unable to record all the video. I usually only get about 5-10 seconds.I'm into this system about $1800 and it's "simpli-junk". I'm doing away with the whole thing and going with someone else.I feel responsible notifying others so they don't lose the money I have.
