Ribbon and one solenoid went bad in about 3 weeks.
Looks like they just ohm check the solenoids if they’re within spec they leave them in. Some had broken clips. They may possibly disassemble the valve body and check it maybe??

Make sure the bolts slide freely through all holes before installation
Attention Auto Technicians: The internet is awash with these cheap reman valve bodies because reman quality is not to industry standards. The OEM logos are ground off and you may find metal shavings on the unit! Also the alignment of the middle or upper plates is often inaccurate causing some bolts to not slide through easily causing incorrect torque/mating. I had to drill two holes out on the valve body I received. Beyond this, though, the install was successful and resolved the P0743 Torque Converter Clutch performance issue on our 2003 VW Golf 2.0l. Interestingly we had a valve body installed under warranty at 59K miles, now it needed another at 205K miles, hopefully the updated FEBI fluid will be OK...
