Bought them to try out and then bought them again! Yes they hatch, may be not a 100%, but there was a LOT of them hatching. We put the bags in easily accessible area for us and watched them hatch and crawl around those bags for the first few days. You will still see a lot of their “black grains” in the bags, both before and after hatching, some of them will just have little holes in them afterwards. We still see an occasional fly or a gnat, but to feel the difference, we just have to walk away some from the area where the bags were placed and we’ll get swamped! Makes all the difference in summer

Bought them during timeframe suggested for my location. None hatched! The hanger is made from glossy cardboard and several fell down. Very disappointed.

I raise chickens and have a horse barn, so flies come with the territory. Some years they are especially vicious and prolific, like this past one, and I feel like nothing I do can get rid of them. I feel like most sprays don't work or they kill beneficial insects like pollinators, so I decided to try these guys. I hung them inside of and around barns, the chicken coop, near compost piles, the dumpster, anywhere I felt like flies breed or feed.Though we weren't completely fly-free, I feel like these reduced the population to a mere occasional annoyance rather than making my family and my animals miserable any time we stepped outside. Make sure you hang the packets high enough so chickens can't eat the larvae, and follow the directions. The fly exterminators are so small you won't really notice when they hatch, but I did manage to catch a glimpse of one as it flew away, so they do hatch!

Follow the instructions I also use fly traps. I get fly bait put it in the trap and circle the woods around my property probably have 10 to 12 locations where I put the fly predators and separately the fly traps. Hardly any flies at all you would have to set up, a separate horse fly catcher they are much harder to get rid of when they bite. They hurt.

The first order never arrived, but the company did replace them. The only issue is that the second order never hatched.

I had been using this for my barn to keep the horseflies down around the animals. I thought that I would try it in the garden where I use manure for fertilizer. No flies, afids, or any bug that normally eats my garden. I'll make this a regular addition to my garden set up and maintenance.

I love the idea of using nature to balance nature. I am using on my farm where I have many animals of all kinds and am trying to keep them in a healthy environment.
