Pixy CMUcam5 Cable (compatible with LEGO)

The cable worked as expected. It is a clean connection between the camera and the EV3 brick. As mentioned in other reviews, a couple of length options may be helpful to future buyers. The best part is the after-sales follow-up by Charmed Labs. I was having difficulty getting communication established between the Pixy Camera and the EV3 brick. I replied to the Charmed Labs follow-up email and eventually was referred to and received a response from one of their engineers. He even replied on New Year's Eve! That's customer service! The interface is properly configured and working well now as I test various tracking and chase programs.

The cables could have been longer. The instruction to convert a non-lego pixy for ev3 is confusing. If you update the firmware to a lego version then you do not need to do certain steps that is listed in the steps. The customer support promptly responded to email.

We use ev3dev + ev3-python instead of the block programming. So I didn't really use any of their tutorials for the Pixy Block. Works great in Python on the EV3.Here is some info if you are a developer interested in using the Pixy with Python via ev3dev on an EV3 Mindstorm robot.[...][...]Based on another review... I suppose it would be nice if there were different options for the length.

This cable is just what we needed! Now our Pixy is working perfectly with a Lego Mindstorm EV3.
