Likely the best X-E5 hot-shoe grip available
Excellent option for X-E5, the rubberized section and generous size makes this the best X-E5 shoe-mount grip available in my opinion. That said, I did find the rear dial to be more difficult to use with the grip installed (i.e., it is more difficult to spin the rear dial without also pressing it in, so if you have a function assigned to pressing the dial in, you may inadvertently active that while attempting to turn the dial), so there is some trade-off, but I can get around that by adjusting controls in the camera menu, and the improvement to grip comfort while retaining a low profile make this a very worthwhile addition.

Perfect add-on for Sony a7cr
Perfect fit. Makes it easier, more comfortable to hold a compact camera. Most importantly, it minimizes accidental movement of the top adjustment settings knobs and dials.

Works overall but design could be better
Purchased this to switch from the Haoge thumb grip which for whatever reason would not slide into my X100F’s hot shoe. This one did so with no problem whatsoever. Overall it does what it’s intended to do: give better gripping ability especially in handling the camera one-handed. The metal feels solid and well made and matches the silver metal. For those concerned about the attachment rubbing up against the metal housing of the camera there is at least a millimeter or two clearance between so there’s little chance of scuffing. GRIPES: works ergonomically but for some reason they did not account for the thumb rest to interfere with the real scroll wheel. which makes it hard to operate. This is where the $59 Lensmate has an advantage Will see if what happens with extensive use.

Cute and functional but a little loose
I love this handle as it makes it easier to hold the camera with one hand. I love the attention to the detail as on the thumb grip it has a similar leather texture to the body of the camera. The only thing I would change is the part that goes into the hot shoe is a little loose and I need to push it back in every once in a while. Not sure if it's a problem with the design or if my hot shoe is a little bigger than normal.

Sleek. Grippy. Worth It.
The build quality exceeded my expectations—the leather patches are a nice touch, adding both style and extra grip. It blends perfectly with my black leather setup, giving everything a sleek, cohesive look. The ergonomic design is another win. At first glance, the handle isn't vertically aligned to the X-T50's finger grip but once you hold it, everything clicks. It'll fit naturally exactly where your fingers rest.

PERFECT WHEN YOU STOP THE WIGGLE!
The product is really well made but... I was about to return it. The slight wiggle it had in my a6700 was a deal-breaker. I tried a few different ideas and finally tried 3 small slivers of black painter's tape wrapped around just the edge, so it's not visible (1 on one side and 2 on the other) and it is super tight. Tried gaffer's tape but it was too thick, not even one strip would work. Another thin option I might try is Kapton tape, if any concerns arise from adhesive seeping out of painter's tape.WWD

Great quality and feels better and more secure holding my X-e5 but it is quite difficult to adjust the exposure compensation dial now especially when you're shooting on P mode.

A must have for cameras as it helps in the grip!! Fits great too!

This is a JJC branded thumb grip for the X-T50 and it actually exceeded my expectations on the quality! The hot shoe insert has rubber on the bottom covering the ports, and a leatherette rectangle on the top side for design. The thumb grip itself has a leather textured rubber pad for extra comfort and grip. Build quality is solid, although I think the paint is a little on the thin-side as test fitting it on random cameras (including vintage film cameras where it doesn't fit) has already given me a small chip on the paint. Note that this paint chip is not visible while in use, and what caused it in the first place was also against its normal use scenario. My only complaint, which doesn't pose any usability issues, is the fit. It is just a ever tiny bit too narrow to have a super snug fit in the hot shoe of the camera. It will angle itself ever so slightly to wedge itself solidly. And as for the ergonomics, it's actually not bad at all but as someone who is used to holding cameras in the shape of the X-T50, it changes the grip completely. You end up pinching the camera with you palm a bit more, but I can see it being a useful way to change grips to give your fingers a rest sometimes, if rest be needed. The dials are all still pretty accessible though you might need to use your index instead of your thumb for the exposure compensation dial--something you admittedly don't constantly use on the go. It also doesn't get in the way of normal grip and normal usage too, so overall I think it's a worthwhile accessory to own. The one thing I am a little irked about is the pricing on Amazon at the time of ordering, and at the time of writing the review. There is a pretty big price discrepancy between the black and the silver color... so that is a bit annoying. Hopefully the price will level itself out (at the price of the lower one!)
