Fast as and seems solidly built so far
I do this for a living ( no not write reviews but take photos ) and my new camera to my surprise had a CF Express and SD slot ( I shoot mainly MF with dual SD slots - duplicating RAF's to both cards, simple ) so I purchased a Sandisk cark and this integral reader. It's very fast at transferring relatively large files from my Fujifilm XH2 to either my Mac Studio or MBP M1, it gets a little warm ( so does my XQD card reader for my Z7 ) which is no biggie, I just remove it after I have done the transfer. It's fast, reassuringly weighty and so far very stable and if ( fingers crossed ) it should malfunction in any way all my images are duplicated on an SD card in the other slot.

Excellent for videographic and demanding photographic use
Works well. Main bugbear is that they requiresa CF Express reader. My older XQD card based camera (that has had the firmware upgraded to utilise these cards) is totally happy with them. However, my un-upgradable XQD reader does not accept them. You need a FastExpress Card reader. Similarly Lightroom does not automatically recognise the card when mounted as a photographic card, which it does for my XQD, SD and Compact Flash cards. Just means you have to point it at the right folder. On the positive side these cards are cheaper that their slower XQD kin, as well as significantly faster to download and to shoot with, in the right camera of course.

Lightning fast and surprisingly small.
The card reader arrived in eco-friendly packaging as part of the manufacturer's effort to reduce plastic waste. The item itself turned out to be much smaller than I expected. It easily fits in the palm of your hand or your jeans pocket. The casing is made from thick aluminium, giving the product a premium look and feel, much like those flagship smartphones before everything turned into glass. Given that it's a USB 3.2 all bells and whistles device, this doesn't surprise me. I guess the speed and the premium look is how the manufacturer justifies its hefty price.Speaking of speed, I observed a constant 600MBps transfer rate when moving very large NEF files from my full-frame digital camera to my laptop. This is the maximum write speed my laptop's SSD can achieve. PCs equipped with the faster NVMe drives will also achieve their respected maximum read/write speeds with the top CFexpress memory cards, including the Integral's cinematic and professional grade lines.Altogether, I am happy with my purchase and while I would prefer a lighter carbon fibre or G10 casing, alluminium still works very well here.

Works perfectly but gets scary hot when in use
Having used this a fair few times now since my purchase I've had no issues with it at all, it works perfectly and the speeds are excellent. Even when unloading 1544 46mp images from my Nikon D850 (The most I've ever uploaded into Lightroom at once. This was about 90GB worth and it took about 5 minutes. Perfectly acceptable considering 8k is about 33mp and we're taking 46mp images and 1500+ of them. However after this and many smaller uses of only a handful of images or a few hundred I've noticed the device and card get incredibly hot. Even long after I've uploaded all the images, like over an hour after. I'll sit sorting through the images on lightroom (meanwhile the device sits idle, I have checked) and lightroom only uses the uploaded images, or temporarily stores them on your main computer drive until they're uploaded and synced on the cloud). So why does the device and card continue to stay hot over an hour later, it simply shouldn't. Immediately after 5 minutes of running at 100% load offloading 1500 images I'd expect it to be pretty hot but we're talking uncomfortable to touch hot, bordering painful and not just immediately after using the device, even an hour or more after when I come to unplug it (and it's been idle the entire time) it's still hot which is a concern as this means it's using a fair bit of power even when doing nothing. It also remains hot for a long time after being unplugged which is also concerning. It feels very sturdy and heavy in a good quality sort of way and has served me well so far but I am going to keep a close eye on it and I'm not going to leave it plugged into my computer when it's not being used as the excessive heat is a worry as electronics do not like being kept so hot for extended periods of time, especially smaller devices like this which has no good way to dissipate said heat efficiently. It's worrying when the CFexpress card I use was £200 and the reader was an additional £35 ish.I'd recommend it for now but definitely something to note. I live in the UK and even on hotter days the device has works seamlessly but I would be a tad doubtful for it to work the same in hotter climates.

Very well made and speedy reader
I bought this to read CF Express cards from my new digital camera. It has a robust full metal construction and downloads full res images from my cards to my mac really quickly. It totally lived up to my expectations.

Don’t waste your money
Lasted roughly ten months of very light use and now you hear it connect to the computer but does not read the cards. Expensive mistake

Does exactly what it wad designed for
Nothing to say really, works well and is fast transfer (given the speed of the USB por of course)
