Shadow, sweet little mini Schnauzer that she is, had the worst dog breath ever - literally smelled like rotten fish. People attracted by her adorableness and her charm would back off as if their eyebrows were singed when she opened her mouth. I had tried changes in diet, frequent professional tooth cleanings (think $$$$$$), brushing her teeth with one of those little finger brushes and doggie toothpaste, giving supposedly tartar-reducing chewy things of infinite variety, and even some special prescription crunchy dog food (think more $$$$$) that was only available in the vet's office. Nothing had even the slightest impact on this adorable dog's nasty breath. ...The package of Paw Max Plaque Free arrived in the mail a week ago. I've been carefully observing all aspects of Shadow's behavior and habits, and can see absolutely no ill effects from the consumption of Paw Max Plaque Free. She did give the food a once-over the first time I put Paw Max on it, but then ate as usual and has ever since then. Most wonderfully of all - THREE DAYS after using this product on her food, she still smells like a dog, but her breath is no longer repellent!Pro: Made in the USA!!!I'll update this review if anything changes my mind, but so far, I am totally sold on Paw Max, and highly recommend it. ............(Hmmm. I wonder what effect it would have on a certain person I know???)

My dogs absolutely love the taste of this product. I accidentally left it in reach one day and they chewed through the top to get to it. Luckily they didn't eat much, as it's pricey, but that definitely made it obvious they like this stuff. I have noticed a difference on my smaller dog's teeth, but have yet to see a difference in my larger dog's plaque, however the larger dog's teeth were much worse than the smaller one.

This seems to work well in combination with CET Chews and Toothpaste (I occasionally brush his teeth but no daily). Our little guy as nice pearly teeth. He is still young (going on 3 years old) but I want to keep his teeth nice! He likes this on his food and it is easy to use.

I'm updating this review because, while I thought it was working at the beginning, I soon realized it was not. I gave it a good try (three bottles) before throwing in the towel and trying another product. Actually, I've tried several products trying to find one that lives up to its claims to prevent or remove plaque. I feed my dog home cooked food which is "wet" like canned commercial dog food, not dry like commercial kibble. I know she's eating much healthier, eating much safer meals, but the wet food does cling to her teeth. I brush her teeth regularly and continue looking for an effective plaque preventive product.

Liked the fact that this product works internally in my cats to fight plaque build up. It is a bit gritty even when mixed with food. Both of my two cats were eating the food with Plaque Free in it. Now one of my cats (Jefferson) has turned up his nose; but it may have been the canned buffalo food rather than the Plaque Free that caused his displeasure. This morning, however, he was eating out of Zoe's bowl that had the Plaque Free mixed with canned rabbit food. Will order more Plaque Free in the future. With two cats, it really goes fast.

I've only used this product for a couple weeks, but it seems to be working. My cat doesn't have the stinky breath near as much. Still tartar on his teeth though. But of course using the product longer should hopefully help with that.

I have been using this for my 3 pugs about 4 weeks and whenever I put their face into my face for a kiss, there is no odor and their teeth look clean.. I also use a product for their water at their feeding once a day.....

I was rather encouraged after reading the reviews for this product. I've been giving it to my dogs for a couple weeks now and.......Absolutely NOTHING. You'de be better off saving your money for teeth cleanings. I only gave it one star because I couldn't give it zero.
