I received this st quickly, they are well made and also have a cloth storage bag which keeps them handy and free from scratches.

I've only used the 8.25" one so far but I LOVE IT! It did add a significant amount of frosting to the sides of my cakes, but no one ever complains about that in our family. I've been making layer cakes for years and these really make them look much more professional, even and straight.

I've wanted these so long and they arrived today, the exact day they said they would. The packaging was the most outstanding possible. Even though they come in a plastic envelope, have no concern. Inside the envelope, they are super well packed into a box. Not just any box, but the good heavy kind with flaps that insert into the sides to close. They did a lot of heavy duty plastic wrapping in stages that keeps everything utterly safe. It was easy to remove. Inside the box is a sweet card and basic info. The acrylic pieces are nestled into a wonderful drawstring cloth bag for storage. Yes, it was hard taking the protective film off the discs. Since there was none to remove on the cake scrapers, it would seem they could have removed these too and saved us a lot of time, fingernails and eyesight. But, the protective coating is thick and did the job perfectly. Since I like to take care of the things God blesses me with, once removed, I lightly replaced the film on the discs, but I made sure that part went past the edge of the disc, so it can be easily removed for use. Then I put them in that wonderful bag and put it back into the perfect box. They not only shipped securely, but the packaging is perfect for storing them, neat, tidy and safely. I can't wait to use them. Buy from this seller. You will not be disappointed.

Love how smooth my cake came out!! I used Rich’s ready to whip icing on my cake. I didn’t use parchment paper on my disk I just did a crumb coat throughout my cake place my disk on top made sure cake was even and started icing the sides. Then I took a long skinny knife and slowly started trimming the disk off the cake and finished icing the top!!!

Works amazingly for perfectly straight sides! I haven’t yet figured out how to use it without the entire top layer of frosting sticking to it and breaking off of the cake when I remove it. I’ve tried a frozen cake, chilled cake, wax paper (helped the most) and a hot, sharp knife under and around the edges. So far I think I need to cut wax or parchment to the exact size of the disc, stick it to the disk with MINIMAL buttercream and then place that on top of the iced cake. But for straight edges, this will be my go to from now on.
