For particular conditions - SMART then SEMI SMART AND then SUPER DUMB. Read full review...!
First Understand 2 words "LAN (wifi on but without internet supply)" and "WAN (wifi on with internet supply).Device is so smart in WAN.As soon as you loose internet connection with the device, it becomes semi smart. This device can be used in LAN also but with limited features, i.e. countdown and on/off from the mobile app but the catch is you have to be connected with the same wifi which is connected with the device and so you can't control it far from your wifi's range. One thing troubles me in LAN is - schedule stops working completely. Even you can't re-enter any new schedule timing in LAN.Entries for schedule are only accepted by device when there is internet connection. When you are out of city and internet is gone then schedule will not work, it becomes super dumb here because it will not execute schedule timings you entered before. However if you had turned on notification while schedule time setting - then you will be notified that device was unable to execute, but thats all.. you can't do anything to make it work as per schedule. If schedule is so important for you then buy SONOFF Basic switch (this is not a plug, you have to work with wires to set this device - though its not tough, but incase you dont want to do it by ur self then call an electrician he will do it within 5 minutes ). In this device schedule works even after no internet supply. Because it remembers schedule. But if you had lost internet and then any single power drop after internet loss then the device forgets schedule and becomes super dumb till internet is back. If power drop is rare at your place then SONOFF does the job.

Doesn't "Natively" work with Apple Homekit, but after some tweaking...
I took the plunge and decided to buy 10 of these plugs. As an iOS user with some HomePods I was looking to enable a full HomeKit solution, but HomeKit plugs don't seem to be available in India. After a bit of research, using the open source HomeBridge system worked. But not without a few hoops to jump through on setup...HomeBridge requires either a Raspberry Pi or a computer that is always on (I have the latter), so installing HomeBridge was simple - follow the instructions and it's running. Adding that into HomeKit is also simple - scan the generated QR code.Adding the Wipro plugs - a little more difficult. These plugs are Wipro BRANDED only in name - you can actually add them using another app (which doesn't have the energy monitoring feature BTW, but I wasn't concerned with that) called Tuya Smart - add all of your plugs into that. This is because HomeBridge has a Tuya plugin which you install, but you need the device ID and its Key, which is a bit more painful to get - you have to sign up for a free developer account on the Tuya site, link your Tuya Smart app to the developer account which lists your devices, then running a command in Terminal, the registered device IDs and Keys are listed. There's step by step instructions online, so don't worry..!You add those into the HomeBridge Tuya plugin, reboot HomeBridge and BOOM!Works first time!!I now have all of the plugs working seamlessly in HomeKit, so much so I've ordered another 5 10a ones and 2 16a ones.I've not tested with Alexa or the WiPro app, nor have I tested the energy consumption features as my goal was to get this working with HomeKit so I could lazily ask Siri to turn lights on / off, set moods, turn on my other stuff etc. As my home has a lot of lamps, I'm primarily using these plugs with splitters to control multiple lights, air purifiers, TV (etc) that's not a large load.If you're not tech savvy, this method may not be for you - you should be able to get them working with Siri Shortcuts, but I've not tested it.

Expensive Product That Failed Just After the Warranty Period
I purchased six of these smart plugs, and after just over a year of normal use, several of them developed a serious fault. They repeatedly turn themselves ON and OFF in a continuous loop without any input. This isn't just an inconvenience, it can potentially damage connected devices or sensitive electronics such as desktop PCs and other equipment. The power monitoring features are decent. Energy consumption reporting is reasonable, voltage readings are fairly accurate, and the app offers good compatibility, including Android widget support. However, reliability is the biggest issue. The plugs occasionally lose their internet connection, making them unresponsive until they are manually power-cycled or, in some cases, completely reset. Combined with the premature hardware failures, this significantly reduces confidence in the product. The most disappointing part was the after-sales support is non-existent once the warranty period is over. I requested paid replacement for the defective product which was ignored.**Pros:*** Decent energy monitoring* Fairly accurate voltage readings* Good app compatibility and Android widget support**Cons:*** Multiple units failed shortly after one year* Can randomly switch ON/OFF repeatedly, posing a risk to connected devices* Occasional connectivity issues requiring manual intervention* Poor customer support

Worry free life after installing this !
Works as expected. Simply plug, pair using wipro app and boom! Easy UI and loads of features.I really like the inching feature that turns off the device based on a timer. We can create schedules as well to auto turn on/off at certain time of the day.It has it's own tic-tac switch to manually turn on/off.I was sceptical looking at the review but using it sibce 2weeks, no issues observed.10A is also enough for a room heater upto 800w. Works seamlessly with Alexa too! (See video)Great product, must buy!Thumb if i was helpful!๐

A 10A smart socket that does everything a consumer wants
Wipro has finally introduced a 10A smart socket that does everything a consumer wants. Last year Wipro introduced both 16A and 10A smart sockets, of which only 16A stood out. It's more than a year since I've been using 16A socket (two of them) and I haven't faced any issue till this day. The 10A socket didn't meet with the same response and was subsequently withdrawn. One of the features of this new avatar is the availability of energy monitoring provision, which is not available in most of the 10A smart sockets that are in the market. It's quite simple to set up and could be activated through 'Smart Life' app. In fact all Wipro smart products, bulbs as well as sockets, could be run on this app which is practically universal today. Those who have Alexa or Google voice assistant will find it very easy to connect it and thus the smart socket could be managed and controlled by voice. This can take a load up to 2200 watts and therefore one can connect a range of small appliances using an extension cord. With one smart socket and an extension cord (which has an independent on/off switch provision) I have connected my TV, Set-top box and a couple of other small appliances. I can either monitor the energy as a group or individually. Truly a great product from Wipro and is the best that is available in the market today.
