Exactly What I Needed for Travel
This is exactly what I was looking for in a travel yoga mat. It folds easily and fits perfectly in my carry-on or suitcase, which makes it ideal for trips. The material feels durable, well-made, and the included bag is actually sturdy and useful. Yes, it’s thinner and not as soft as a traditional yoga mat, but that’s expected and exactly why I bought it. I use it mainly in hotel rooms, and I’d much rather be on this than directly on carpet or the floor. If you’re looking for comfort and cushion, this isn’t it. But if you want something lightweight, portable, and easy to pack, this is perfect.

One of my favorite buys
This is a great mat to take with you to Bikram yoga, or any other yoga class, to place ON TOP of another mat. It is super soft and super thin, which is why I love it, and it is washable. I like being able to have a clean mat, but carrying a standard yoga mat on a bike or when traveling isn't practical. I've had mine for a very long time now and it has held up. I washed it before using it, since it has a rubber non-slip backing, it smelled a little like a new car until I ran it through my machine. It fits perfectly on top of any yoga mat and you can roll it or fold it to take it everywhere,

Found what I was looking for…
It was exactly what I was looking for, a comfortable travel mat, light and anti slippery. It has a nice suede texture and great smell, comes in a beautiful box and it has its travel bag and a band to roll it out. I wouldn’t recommend it to be your only mat, because it is thin and it can hurt your knees, headstands might be uncomfortable. As a travel mat is perfect: it can be folded or rolled and it comes with a travel bag. Some comments state it is heavy, but I think to make it lighter it should be thinner and this wouldn’t be comfortable at all. I compared lots of competitors. I previously bought the Gaiam one (24,99) and returned it. The Gaiam one has an awful plastic material that smelled terrible (chemical smell). It couldn’t be rolled and the folding lines were terrible. It was also very slippery and heavier thank this one. I think that information might be useful in case you are comparing options. I recommend this product a lot.

Good product for price
These were a bit pricey and heavy for travel but we love them. Bought for our Costa Rica trip to put in luggage and fit perfectly without taking up too much space. We use them in our offices at home as well. Came in nice canvas bag. Both have different designs and are beautiful. Very thin

Know exactly what you want!
Ok, I have never written a review before, but I think this time it is necessary because I think people need to know exactly what they buy to make a well-informed decision. When selecting this yoga mat I was looking for 3 main aspects: (1) very light and small for travelling, (2) high quality, (3) still within an affordable price range. I surfed a lot, read a lot of reviews and finally settled on the SNAKUGA mat even though I had to order it from the US with additional costs for posting. I was ordering 2 mats in the same time so the postage costs became ok. I also settled for this mat because it had very good reviews. A number of other mats had reviews highlighting their chemical smell (especially those with a plastic top layer). Having a "Wildleder" (suede) top layer should not lead to a chemical smell. I have now just received the mats. So my review cannot yet address it's use during a yoga session. But I might make an update at some later stage. For the present here is my first assesment: (BTW, the aspects I describe are exactly the same for the two mats I ordered, so I don't think they can be referred to as a "one off"). (A) First of all, the mat is very well made and its design is beautiful. It is definately not as on the pictures, as the design is neither as sharp, nor is the colour of the mat as uniform. But for me this adds a special touch as the colours (blue to mauve) change slightly from one end to the other. The graphic also looks slightly washed-out in its design, which makes it look smoother, not so harsh. (B) The quality of materials appears to be first class: A very high quality rubber and a very high quality top layer. BUT: The quality of the rubber makes the mat heavier than expected and also as advertised: In fact the mat weighs 1.185kg (2.612 US pound) which comes to 1.270kg (2.800 US pounds) including the rubber band and the pouch. This is definately NOT the 0.9 kg advertised! ALSO: I do not believe that the cover is "Wildleder" (suede). On the packaging the descriptions says Microfibre, which is definately not suede or "Wildleder". (C) The size of the mat is advertised as 183 x 66 and 1.5mm thickness. This is also incorrect: the mat is 181 x 66 and 1.1mm thick. When rolling it, it comes to 70mm diameter x 330mm length or folded 25mm x 330mm x 230mm. The overall difference in dimensions doesn't make a BIG difference, but it puts it into perspective when comparing it with other travel mats. I especially thought that we could re-cut the mat for my partner who is quite small so we could save extra weight. Not really. So what is my overall opinion: + > Very good quality of manufacture and materials, including rubber band. Pouch? Mmh, let's see how long it lasts. But heavy material + > Really nice feel, nice colours, no smell at all + > Drops and holds on the floor as it it were made to stay and no longer move + > Good size when deployed, relatively small when packed +/- > Very thin. But this is indicated and 1.1 or 1.5mm doesn't make a difference: Know what you want and don't complain if the mat is as thin as advertised. - > Definately not as light as advertised, i.e. if you travel with this you will have about 1.3kg (2.8 US pounds) more in your luggage. - > Not the dimensions as advertised (i.e. not 1830mm long) - > I do not believe that the top layer is "Wildleder" (suede) as advertised. It is indicated on the cover that it's microfibre. I could do the "flame test", but I don't want to ruin my new mat. So, overall, I am happy and unhappy. The mat is really nice and I like its quality build. But when travelling long-distance with a backpack in a way that one looks at every gram, this mat is still too heavy for my liking. AND, at 1.270g there are a lot of other mats around, also cheaper ones. The 900grams was one of the main factors for me to buy it. Now, I decided that I will not send it back, but that I will use it at home and in the studio. Not for travelling.

Great Product for Sweaty Yoga and Yoga on Hard floors
I had used a cheaper workout mat for several years to do yoga before I decided to invest in a quality mat. The best part of the mat (besides the sustainable products used for construction) is the functionality of the mat. The cork top enhances your grip as you sweat. When it is completely dry, it may be slightly slick, but I have not had any issues with it. The bottom of the mat has an incredible grip. I've used it on hardwood floors where a normal workout mat would have absolutely slid out from underneath me due to the angle at which I was placing pressure. This mat did even budge. I was very surprised. It's thick enough so that you probably won't need to place a pad underneath it unless you are sensitive or you are working out on uneven, rocky ground. The mat is a little thicker than some other mats so it may not be the most ideal to fly with. I also bought a strap for the mat since it does not come with one. While it probably should come with a strap, it is was not a deal breaker. A decent quality strap is worth the purchase anyway because it can be used in various yoga stretches.

Slippery, no good grip, even when wet as suggested
The only good thing about this mat is the colours are beautiful, but I do not recommend it, it's slippery even when sprayed with water as manufacturers recommend, still slippery and super uncomfortable to do yoga on a wet mat

Heavy, smells bad and uncomfortable
Labeled as a travel yoga mat but is actually heavy. It smells weird and feels uncomfortable as it is very thin.
