how efficient is the hand crank ? how long will 5 mins hand crank charge last ? how efficient is the solar charger ?

The hand crank works quite well. 5 minutes hand cranking will get you about 4/5 hours. I use it on my boat and leave it in the sun to charge up. I find it works well if you get the weather. The only down side is picking up a signal. Perhaps being in the middle of the river exe may account for this. I would buy it again. John C

Can you get Classic FM clearly on this radio?

Asked my wife and she said yes, it's a good clear radio, a little tip if buying it, recharge it by plugging it in, you can use the solar but takes longer, fully charged it is great, the wind-up is good also. it is a good wee bit of kit. will come in handy if power cuts I expect.

Why cant i get lbc radio on this radio? ive tried both am and fm and still nothing.

Dear Customer, thank you for your question. The LBC channel is on the FM band, is there any signal interference, please kindly try to search outside to find, or you can try to match a FM antenna to enhance the signal reception. Hope this helps. NNOOAADIO Service Team

Would the radio transmit any stations / programmes, French or otherwise, while in France?

France still use FM and to a much lesser extent, AM, so in general, whilst in France you will be able to receive French programming on FM but most national AM services have been discontinued, with only a small handful of local services remaining.
