Elanco Tapeworm Dewormer (praziquantel tablets) for Cats and Kittens 6 Weeks and Older, 3-count

This is the only medicine I’ve been able to find and purchase over the counter, without a prescription, that works for my cats occasional tape worms. Even though we treat for fleas, when flea season hits in the spring, the tapeworms invariably flare up. I always keep a bottle of these on hand for when I see a worm. For those unfamiliar, tapeworms look like little rice pellets by your cat’s bottom. It only takes one dose to take care of the worms (unless kitty gets infected again). The pills are small and round, and not too bad to administer with a little skill. I wrap my kitty with a blanket and gently open her mouth, then toss the pill to the back. It helps to follow up with a Churu or other treat so they get distracted and swallow it down quicker. My cats have suffered no ill side effects from the medication - only relief from those disgusting worms. I’ll no longer buy the generics on eBay, these work the best!

So I know there's a lot of people that don't like the pill because they have a hard time getting their cats to eat it. And trust me they aren't going to just eat it out right. I didn't have any harmful reactions with my cats which was great. It's a great value for the money because it worked exceptionally well. I noticed a lot less fleas and there were no types of irritations to their skin there was no vomiting. So how I got them to take the pill was I broke it into four pieces and I put some delectable on the spoon and I kind of mixed it up in there the chunks. And I just offered it to him and both of my cats ate it that way they licked up the chunk and before they knew what was happening they swallowed it already I didn't have to choke them out and hold him down and shove it down their throat so that was the easiest way for me to do it. They got a lot thicker I don't see any more worms so I'm happy

Hey kitty lovers I did the research for you and this is one of few medications on Amazon THAT ACTUALLY WORKS BECAUSE IT HAS THE PROPER ACTIVE INGREDIENT NEEDED TO RID TAPEWORM! I bought this for my kitten 8 weeks tiny guy, cut tablet in half and crushed into his favorite wet snack. He ate it all up and I swear to God the next day he was a completely different kitten! I had just got him recently and he was very very tired and didn't want bothered until this arrived. Within about a day he was running playing meowing and purring like crazy. Plan to take him to vet soon but looking to find a low cost clinic. For now this worked amazing and is cheaper then the fake stuff somehow

Kicked a worm right out of my cat. It took around a month though. I don’t know if that’s the usual time but it worked never the less. It comes with three pills. It’s kinda hard to get the cats to eat it

Immediately upon adopting a shelter cat, I noticed she had worms. But our first vet visit isn't until June 2nd. Even reading the reviews I was thinking there's no way anyone can tell that much of a difference in their cat after getting rid of the worms. But BOY was I wrong. It was a struggle to pill Kimchi, so I was questioning whether or not she got enough of it. But how you can tell if it worked, is quite literally a change in their behavior. After she was worm free, she had so much more energy. In fact, I've never even seen her have zoomies until after giving her this pill. What I will say, is that the pill is much too big to give to a petite or even average sized cat. If you try crushing it up into wet food, they can still tell. And the moment the pill gets wet it immediately turns to mush, so there's no saving it. Your best bet is to crush it as much as possible, mix it with water, and have your cat drink it from a syringe.

I gave the pill to the cat in the morning so I could monitor his reaction to it during the day; the pill cleaned out the problem completely in about 2 days; no major side effects. Its very important though to get a flea comb and check your cat for fleas daily to make sure they dont get reinfected

TLDR; ITS WORTH IT! Its been two months since I've given her the meds and they are completely gone without having to redose later. Bought in May, waited two months to confidently post a review. I was hesitant on buying initially because you never know if the product will work, especially with medication for pets which can be scary, but I did it anyways and I can say that it is the best option for pet owners that can't shell out hundreds of dollars for a visit to the vet and a prescription! I crushed up a single tablet and mixed it in with wet food, mine is very food motivated, but if you have a picky cat a high value treat might do the trick! I had no issues with my cat getting the runs 💩 from it, THANK GOD lol. With any medication do be aware that it might react differently with your cats body, but if you follow the instructions to a T and keep them hydrated, then you could mitigate any possible GI tract disturbances, as its normal when removing parasites. If your fur baby has tapeworms, I hope they get better soon and tell them I said pspsps 💖

After the vet was no help, this cured the problem in a much more cost effective way. Just make sure you identify which type of worm your cat has before trying this! They got fleas from going outside (on accident), I went to the vet w a stool sample and to get them flea meds and a dewormer. I’ve unfortunately been through this before. They said “they didn’t have any fleas” even tho they did. And “didn’t have” even tho they did. Bought this one time and worked perfectly. Highly recommend. They didn’t seem to have any side effects either.
