Best method I found was to remove wheels and line ...
This worked extremely well and if you have time and dedication can look professional. I used all four cans. Best method I found was to remove wheels and line the edge of the rim and tire with playing cards to make a barrier to prevent from over spray. Make sure the wheels are very clean first. Then using small quick sprays, not long continuous go over the whole wheel a little bit at a time. I found doing a lot made it look very bumpy and runny. It took numerous coats to get the whole wheel covered and different angles but looks great. Between coats it was important to let it dry. To speed the drying process I used a hot air gun. Its been 3 months now and still looks fresh and like it was just done. Do not drive until its very dry (at least 4 hrs) or it will make it spiral outward or spray off the wheel.

Better than expected
Have a an older car with some serious curb rash and flaking on the rims. I gave this a shot and I am very impressed. It goes on easy, has held up and levels nicely. Even when I accidently over sprayed, it seemed to be very forgiving the the drip ran out while before dried.A can per wheel is more than enough in my experience. I just hit each wheel, waiting 10 minutes and the repeated. It dries pretty quick as well, so I got through all my wheels and all 4 cans in about 4 hours.

Amazing plasti dip
It’s been about a month since I used these on my rims, they look pretty good, the edges are a bit iffy and have little tears, but other than that I highly recommend these

Great Product!
This stuff worked great! I watched a couple tutorials and decided to give it a try. I found out that lining the wheels with playing cards worked the best to prevent overspraying. Even if you do get any on your wheels it just rubs right off. I applied a light first coat and then another four every 15 minutes. After the third coat, I moved my truck to turn the wheels a bit so I could hit the areas I missed, definitely helps. Make sure to clean your wheels thoroughly before applying. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to give their rims a sharp look for a cheap price!

great results for DIY projects..
not bad for the price even tho its cheaper at some local stores..even tho its a wheel kit, but i only needed 2 and half cans, could have done the job with only 2 cans had it not been for the wheels being so bad..had to scrape and sand the inside walls of the wheels and wash the whole thing then applied one heavy coat, one coat would be more than enough if you have the wheel laid down and you spraying it downward that was you can get wetter heavier coat to get full coverage all together with one coat.. i bought a set of black lug nuts so its easier than painting the old ones and no peeling while tightening them on..the paint dries to the touch in 15 minutes or less [it was 78 degree outside ]and can put the wheel back on in less than an hour with care..this paint is not retouch friendly, so its better to peel it off and respray instead of trying to retouch defected areas..it is a very easy to use product all you need is common sense ...i uploaded the before and after pics, and yes that was just one coat of paint.. i chose not to retouch the areas where it peeled off while taking the tape off.. but all in all , its not bad for a DIY for less than 35 dollars..

Does what it says and looks really great.
Like others here, I watched videos and learned how to apply. It's very easy if you do the research and follow some basic rules, like don't spray with the wheel laying flat. Spray with the wheel upright.I used the playing card trick where you line the outside of the rim, between the tire and wheel, with a traditional deck of playing cards, overlapping as to prevent the over spray from adhering to the rubber tire.Take your time, apply many coats and use 1 bottle per tire. You should have very little left in each can at the end. To make sure I applied each can evenly, I allocated each can to a single tire.If you biff it up, let it dry, peel it off and start again.

Watch DipYourCar on YouTube.
This stuff is fantastic. I used it to black out the chrome trim on my car.A recommendation: search YouTube for DipYourCar's channel and watch a video pertaining to what you're trying to do. If you're doing trim like I was, pay attention to their recommendations. I taped close to the trim on one side because I thought it would be easier. It was not. The side I left with a wider area (out of pure frustration that it was getting dark on me) pulled off incredibly easily. The side I got close on actually had an area I now need to retouch from trying to peel it and not being able to get a good grip on the tiny sliver I had left. This stuff is *insanely* easy to spray. I did it outside in my driveway, half of it in the dark using my cell phone to check my coverage, and it turned out great. Just watch a few videos and you'll be good to go.
