1000FT SPT-1 Black Electrical Wire,UL Listed 18/2 Zip Cord Wire 18 Gauge Wire,Work with SPT-1 Vampire Plug

I have been using spt-1 wire for several years here in Florida for my Christmas and Halloween light shows. This wire is easy to use, store and affordable enough to keep a 1000' roll on hand for last minute add on projects. anyone that does Holiday lighting as a hobby already knows there are always last minute projects in the rule of thumb is have two of everything on hand even if you only need one. I'm at around 6,000 feet worth of spt-1 wire right now and probably 1200 total vampire plugs. So much easier to cut to length and use vampire plugs on it rather than those heavy store bought extension cords. One trick I have learned is to get a silver paint marker and write on the slide on plugs what the wire controls This helps both for storage as well as set up next year. This wire has saved my back because it is lightweight and not heavy for storage. I can store 3,000 ft worth of this wire with plugs on it in a tote versus only being able to put in 9 of the 100 ft extension cords from the stores back in the old days. Plus the green color hides well even during the daylight hours. The polarized wire is ribbed so it's easy to make sure when you're putting on plugs they are all going in the proper direction. It's up to us Holiday Fanatics to light up the world.You won't be disappointed.In northern states you may want to use spt to due to the freezing weather. After many years of using extension cords, I discovered the SPT-1 zip cord. So bottom line, the extension cords are at a recycling center and with the Vampire cord ends, it made the Christmas lighting setup up a snap. The wire is great, easy to route, easy to attach the Vampire and almost invisible. If you had it with old fashion extension cords, this is the way to make "custom" extension cords and enjoy a reliable installation.

Good quality that seems to hold up well. Only negative is that it is thicker then some other wire and hard to fit into the vampire plugs. Overall happy with this product.
