Cut my foot sprain healing time in half
This brace was indispensable in healing a Grade 2 foot sprain that I sustained recently. I inverted my foot with all my weight on it and overstretched my fibularis ligaments and probably my peroneus longus tendon, too. I don't think that I tore anything, but it certainly is possible because my fifth metatarsal area (outside of foot) immediately swelled up, became red, and felt quite painful. I couldn't put any weight on the foot, so I hobbled, hopped, and limped around for a few days. Icing throughout the day, elevating the foot, and rubbing arnica and Penetrex cream helped the pain and swelling a lot, but I still couldn't walk right after two weeks, and the sprain seemed to be getting worse. Then, I saw a podiatrist who took x-rays, determined it wasn't a fracture, and wrapped my foot in the same configuration as an ankle brace. I ordered this from Amazon because it was made out of waterproof Neoprene so I could wear it swimming, wore it for a few days, and felt a dramatic improvement in my sprain. Within days, I was able to walk without a brace normally again. My foot ligaments are still healing, so I have to hold off on hiking and running for a couple weeks longer to be safe, but I'm convinced that wearing this brace gave my ligaments and tendons the support and break they needed to heal faster. I later learned that braces such as this one are recommended in healing ankle and foot sprains.I wear a women's size 9 shoe, and this brace fit very well. Due to its long straps and strong construction, with a generous opening for the heel, I think it would serve all sizes for men and women, up to and including men's size 12/13. It can fit under a sock, but I think it would make slipping the foot into shoes uncomfortable and/or difficult. I wore relaxed-fit Crocs flips and clogs while using it. It did not make my foot sweaty, either.I recommend this ankle brace and really wish that I had begun wearing it right after my sprain. I would have healed so much faster.

Great mobility, great support, GREAT DEAL!
Got this brace in two days after ordering on prime day. Didn't think I would get it so quickly considering the amount of items that were purchased that day, but Amazon came through as always. Brace was perfect for what I needed it for. I was born with a club foot and wore braces for a few years growing up and never had good stability in it. I always wore a lace up ankle brace through sports growing up. Need I say they aren't very comfortable and always seemed to wear blisters when worn for long periods of time. I've used many neoprene braces for running and they never gave the needed support I was looking for during long distance running. This brace was a good medium ground between the two. It gives me enough support to keep me from rolling an ankle but also gives me the freedom of movement so I don't affect my stride. The best thing about this support is you can easily adjust it with just a few readjustments of the sturdy velcro straps. During my first mile I noticed I had the strap too tight and it was causing my foot to tingle. I stopped pulled my shoe off and had it readjusted before my heart-rate even dropped. I continued on to another 4 miles and never had any more problems. The only complaint I had was that my foot got pretty hot during my run but that could be from the second layer and possibly the 97 degree Oklahoma weather. Despite this small problem I would definitely buy this product again, especially at $9. SUCH A DEAL!

Decent support for what we needed...stabilization
I bought two, one for my 12 year old daughter and one for myself. We both wear a size 7/7.5 ladies shoe and have very tiny ankles. This fits well and is comfortable over socks (haven't worn it bare against the skin) and it fits into sneakers, but not my snug leather boots. So, my daughter has loose joints of the hips, knees and ankles that I so graciously passed on to her during her time of conception. She has been running track at school and having a lot of joint pain, but she reports that this ankle support is most definitely helping her run without pain in her ankle. I actually bought her the Bracoo neoprene knee support too, but that was awkward, not form fitting, very bulky, had a lot of folds and slid around on her, so I returned it.I actually wear this product sometimes just during the day...as my L ankle will start aching for no apparent reason or from wearing unsupported shoes. This definitely stabilized the joint and allowed me to walk around during the day pain free as well.Just two things to keep in mind...1. I wore this upon waking to going to bed for a week or two every day...and I started having nerve issues in the anterior and distal part of my foot sending shooting tingles that would go down to my toes. Most likely due to over-compression of the delicate nerves of the top of the foot. I stopped wearing it for a week and then that went away.2. If you have a severe sprain/strain you may need more support and/or an immobilizer for the joint than what this neoprene offers.
