Very well built, was a bit expensive but not bad for a stainless steel that will last for years to come.

Havnt used it yet but it looks sturdy, made out of heavy duty stainless. Will try it soon. As for the handle Ill get a broom handle, no biggie.

Haven't had a channce to use it.

I just got this scoop and spent the last week on Okaloosa Island Florida using it while detecting. Here is my honest review. The scoop is built like a tank!! Strong and durable. It was a pain having to drive around to find a wooden handle to fit. I ended up using a shovel handle, which I had to cut to fit and a good stainless steel screw and nut. So it is on a 5 foot handle. This scoop is heavy, it is really heavy after an hour of carrying it around. I have a Equinox 800 and I had to carry it over my shoulder or hang on to the very top of my scoop behind my leg, so the detector did not pick up the metal scoop. So it was interesting trying to figure out how to carry it effectively. On your shoulder worked but an hour of that and your shoulder is hurting. The scoop itself, is large and worked great. if you got wet sand into the scoop, it was difficult to shake the scoop clear, so I ended up walking into the surf to use the water to actually clear the scoop, you will always find the bottle top or pull tab in the bottom, I had a few pennies and quarters as well but NO GOLD or Jewelry!! After a week of use in the salt water, the stainless steel is showing some rust, and I rinsed it off each day as I left the beach as I did my detector, so seeing it get a bit rusty was a surprise. I think this thing will be the only scoop I will ever need, it is simply built like a beast. I will probably cut the handle and put a solid D-Handle on it so it can loose some weight. I would buy it again for sure, but If I could afford a titanium scoop, I would for sure get one, simply for the light weight of such a scoop. Happy Hunting!!!

Great construction, fast delivery, easy to use, does the job well in wet sand under water. I Previously had a cheapo scoop, but it kept braking handles or the handles would come loose, and now the metal cracked badly, cheap metal. So paid more for a decent one,

This scoop is smaller than my 11x9 so it is much lighter when full making it easier to use for longer periods of time. A plus is the angle is a little steeper than my 11x9 making it easier to push into the sand or lake bottom. I paired it with the CKG carbon fiber handle and I absolutely love it!

No worries putting foot on it welds are nicely done holes are nice size too

I bought this scoop four years ago, and have put it to the test. It barely shows any signs of wear, and is built like a tank. Yeah, it's pricey but anything quality almost always is. You get what you pay for, and with this baby you'll move mountains of beach sand, and it'll still be going strong! Get yourself a good handle to go with it, and you'll be all set.

I purchased this scoop at the end of June last year. It got 3 months of use before winter. On the first use this year the weld breaks. After paying $177 + tax I expected much more from this scoop, very disappointing.
