A solid replacement.
I replaced a STEAMEMO 5 Port AI POE Switch that kept requiring a power cycle after dropping the connection to my cameras at least once a day. The TP-Link POE switch has been rock solid. No problems and since the TP-Link has an external power brick, it runs way cooler than the STEAMEMO switch where the power supply was built into the switch.

Failed at about the 1 year mark
Company has a Limited Lifetime Warranty and after doing the required troubleshooting to insure the switch had failed, they agreed to send me a new one with return of old switch. TP is a quality company and they stand behind their products! Kudos

Great feature set
Works well and seems sturdy. Like the auto reboot feature for security camera operation. Easy to use settings. Remembers LED off setting during power failure.

Nice Switch. Easy VLAN Configuration
Nice little edge switch addition to my network. I needed traffic segregation with VLANs and POE power for some cameras. VLANs were easy to configure. With a managed switch I could trunk two VLANs on an existing cable. That saved me the hassle of running a second cable back to my central location.

No Problems
Use it in the garage. It gets down to -25 out there. This just works without stuttering. Used to relay outdoor security cameras. No lockups, no dropped packets, just what I'd expect.

Unmanaged, Excellent Product
I use this to power and connect am OMADA OC200 and a commercial wireless antenna via PoE. It was able to power the OC200, a main WAP and two WAP extenders. Excellent product, compact package.

Great little PoE switch, but port mirroring doesnโt work.
PoE and gigabit Ethernet works great, but port mirroring doesnโt work as advertised, it only forwards broadcasts. Web admin not always intuitive. If you need 4x PoE for your home office, this is a good value.

Simple to use and does what is needed
After doing months of research, speaking with a business rep with TP-Link I made the switched from Ubiquiti which was due to the never ending price hikes, The lack of inventory and very poor Ubiquiti support. This Omada platform is a game changer and like all software it will continue to grow to meet the demands of consumers and business. Tom and Mary has been the greatest with speedy assistance and response. TP-Link has some new hardware coming as well that will easily meet the needs of my larger customers so I am trying to contain my excitement but its not working very well as i keep checking the site daily..lol Thank you TP-Link for making great products and excellent support team. You have a customer for life!

Simple Setup, Solid Performance: TP-Link PoE Switch
I purchased the TP-Link 5 Port Gigabit PoE Switch (TL-SG105PE) to expand my network, and Iโm really happy with it. The plug-and-play setup was super easy, which made the price feel even better. It worked right out of the box without any hassle, and the PoE+ ports provide plenty of power for my devices. So far, itโs been reliable and exactly what I needed to improve my network.

Good for multiple access points
I got this to run two access points and it does the job well. Both access points show good power and the switch doesn't get hot. I hope it stays this way

Takes 25sec to "boot up".
I got one of these TL-SG105PE switches as a Warehouse Deal (aka. "used/returned") for a decent discount. It works perfectly, and in my tests provides 802.3af POE to a TP-Link EAP225 AP through 120m+ of Cat5e cabling with a dozen connections along the way. I also tested it through a longer run of around 220m of Cat5e, with lots of RJ45 couplings and POE+ repeater after the first 100m or so. All good. Full GigE speed and the AP at the end of the run is happy with the power. I also successfully tested the same 220m of Cat5e without the repeater, and the AP at the far end still worked when the switch was told to use "extend" mode (at 10mbits/sec), which would be a decent option for an IP phone or some webcams. The TL-SG105PE by default relies on DHCP (client) to acquire a network address for the built-in admin/control web interface. The reset button on the rear came in handy for me, as the "previously owned" unit I purchased wouldn't let me in using the normal default userid/passwd -- until it was reset that is. All good so far, happy with it! Only downside is that it takes a good 25-seconds after power-on before the switch becomes functional.
