Easy workaround
Foolproof and no fuss. I just plugged my garbage disposal into the didikit adapter and pressed the didikit remote's off button. The setup worked immediately. Even the battery came already inside the remote. I'm kicking myself for buying it sooner; my previous disposal air button hadn't been working for months. I'm only two weeks into this workaround product; fingers crossed that it holds up.

Perfect Garbage Disposal Switch
I recently installed a tankless reverse osmosis filter, which needs constant power. That was a problem because it would also have run my InSinkErator 3/4 HP garbage disposal setup 24/7. Not only did this Wireless Switch make my reverse osmosis filter work with my garbage disposal, the 5 and 10-second run time option provides an extra layer of flexibility and control that I didn't realize I needed but now wouldn't want to do without. Get this kit if you want to use something else with your garbage disposal outlet!

quit after a few months
Stopped working after a few months. The base unit that plugs into the wall passes all current and won't switch "off". Likely burned out the relay; its a strech to think this really has a relay that can hande 16 amps. Its a cool solution, just wish it lasted longer..
