This awning is wonderful. Not just for the shade but the ease of use. Comes with everything you need to mount it. It holds up to the Wyoming wind very well. When the winds get strong just pop down the legs and guild lines and it stays put. Another great product by OVS!

Excellent awning for the money. Versatile mounting brackets and hardware. I wanted something that can deploy quickly for lunches on the road and on the trail in hot or wet weather. This is perfect. The brackets are clearly shown in the pictures, so you get an idea how this mounts. Hardware is high quality and brackets are beefy. Brackets are about 2.5 inches wide where they mount. This was the only 270 awning in this price range that does not require poles for average conditions, but they are there and easy to deploy if needed. Guy lines and stakes are included and of good quality if you expect wind. I will update this if i ever have an issue, but if this is not updated assume ‘so far, so good’!

Probably the best priced self supporting awning on the market. I use this thing a lot and it’s super easy to set up. One thing that is kind of a bummer is the mounting options. Mounting can get complicated depending on what kind of rack system you have. So keep that in mind.

I received the separate box of hardware. Used it to mount to a 100 dollar set of roof rails... Also from Amazon. Slid the bracket right into the track, put the awning on top, tightened down, good to go. I did shift it forward to make up for being a true 90 degree at the rear. Needed to cover the gap in my wrangler tailgate glass when it's open. And yes, the glass touches the awning arm. And no, it's fine. It makes contact where the Velcro is. Soft and gentle. Looking forward to first use!

Received package today, came with a long box that contained the awning, as well as a box with the mounting hardware. Great. Open it up... Awning looks high quality, awesome. Open up the brackets kit.... has the two mounting brackets... awesome, has (3) what appear to be some stainless steel mounts (not u-bolts), flat with two bolt threads coming out and 6 lock nuts... There is nothing to mount the awning to the bracket and the hardware it did come with is not what is shown on the listing nor will it work in a t-slot roof rack, along with not having the U-bolts for universal mounting......... Not sure if they sent the wrong bracket kit? or it's missing items? Also, not a single piece of paper for installation instructions... Not gonna lie, more than disappointed I guess I know have to fight the the seller and/or contact OVS... May update later... so buyer beware? Good luck.

Game changer for our truck. No matter where we camp we feel like we have a great home base now. Easy to set up and more importantly easy to put away. They made the cover large enough that we don’t need to fold it perfectly and stuff it like crazy, but it doesn’t flap around or look baggy. Burly enough that were pretty confident keeping it up in pretty solid wind.

The awning is great. I’ve got it installed on my UrsaMinor top on my Jeep JLU. Its “mass to coverage” ratio is great. Quality is great. Only issue was a defective pole. I contacted seller through Amazon and they are selling a replacement. Also a couple weeks after purchasing I saw it advertised for $100 off elsewhere and told them — and they credited the difference back on my credit card. Pretty impressive. Great awning. Great customer service.

The brackets that come with this product do NOT allow for you to install it flush to a roof top tent. When I called their product team, they recommended I buy a third party bracket which there is ONLY one provider who makes a bracket that aligns with their bolt distances but they are $60 a bracket and based on weight you need three. It’s over $200 with tax and shipping so keep in mind that you will need to spend an extra $200 if you decide to go with an Overland product.Go Fast Campers is the ONLY one who has a bracket that fits their 4 1/2 inch bolt distance.
