what is weight of hairdryer without attachments and packaging? I'm looking for a dryer that's less than a pound.

I have 2 scales ones digital and it wasn't even heavy enough to read it. So I'd say it's under a pound

Is this a Dyson knock off?

Never had the Dyson but this works great as far as drying time. My hair is thick and curly and I'm impressed.

Is this dryer quieter than other hairdryers?

When using the middle setting it is much quieter than regular dryers. However the highest setting is still quite loud. Hope that helps
