I was actually very impressed by this thread! The colors are bright and match pretty-much any fabric. The thread is actually unbelievably strong and has never snapped. I use this thread on my sewing machine all the time and it works exceptionally well! The thread is about 2.5 - 3 inches tall and maybe .75 inches wide. I was kind-of expecting it to be small and cheap (because of the price) but it's actually very normally sized and great quality! I am very satisfied and I consider this a winning purchase! Whether you are adding to your color collection or starting one, or just need some nice thread, this is a very smart purchase. Affordable, colorful spool set. I recommend this to anyone who wants a colorful variety, yet not willing to purchase each individual color (which can add up; not too good for someone on a budget.) These are pretty basic quality threads (similar to Michael's basic sewing thread or Jo-Ann's). On the other hand, there is nothing negative about this thread set.I recommend this thread set!

The star off is for the fact that the picture is false advertising. I did knew that obviously the picture shows a lot more than 35 colors, but it's still not right... Also I read that one reviewer did get the gold and silver metallic threads, but mine did not come with those.The actual product itself is pretty nice, 35 different colors for only $11.xx is an excellent deal. The thread quality seems pretty good, I haven't started using it yet but while it's clearly not top of the line quality, it's actually better than the super cheap pack of random colors that I got a long time ago at Savers (ie someone put their left over thread spools in a baggie and donated it). I really like the variety of colors. The 200 yard length is pretty standard and unless you're doing a huge project from scratch, you likely won't be using up any one color too quickly. This is a fantastic set for someone who's just doing modifications or thrift item transformations where you don't have to do full out from scratch lvl of sewing. Especially for thrift item transformations since the garments you pick will likely come in various color, this is a great set to have on hand so that you have matching thread at any time, without having to go buy a huge spool just for a small-ish project.Overall a really good deal!

The thread is serviceable. I have used it in several projects and haven't had any problems. The length of thread on each spool is fairly standard and similar to regular size spools such as Coats. They may look small but if you read the label you will see the lengths are same or longer than the common brands. The spools fit fine on the spool pin with the small cap that came with my machine. There is also a great variety of colors which has already saved me what I paid for this set since I didn't have to buy several spools of brand name thread for a number of small projects which would have cost $2 -$3 each. That said, this is not the kind of thread you would use to piece your 'dream quilt' or a project intended to become an heirloom or some special garment you have invested in to get the pattern and special fabric. For those things you must invest in good high quality thread for those kinds of things. This thread is best suited to fill out your thread stash without investing tons of money, for use in regular craft sewing and mending projects. I only gave the product 3 stars because I didn't receive the bonus stylus as advertised and I think false promises in advertising are really contemptible and should always be exposed by the consumer. I would purchase this thread again but I would never use it in an heirloom item or other high end project. It's just not that kind of thread but it perfectly fine for run of the mill sewing and mending. I did notice that there was no spool of basic red thread. There is a burgundy color and a dark orange but no true red

I wasn't sure I'd order this thread after not knowing if it would be good on a sewing machine. The spool is wide, but I just put it right on the pin without an adapter and it's not been a problem. I have been altering some denim blue jeans with the thread (on the machine) and also worked on a tote bag with no breakage at all. The texture isn't as fine as a coats and clark thread, but for the price, to just have some novelty colors around, it's been great. Then, I can just replace colors I tend to use with a regular sized spool. I actually kind of like these because they are a little smaller than regular spools, making storage a little easier...

Unusable in a sewing machine, the thread breaks every few inches. Some colors performed better than others but most were very poor.Also difficult to find the thread end. I was about to send the thread back, but with three pairs of glasses on I was finally able to detect a small disruption in the pattern of the thread winding. That's where it is, tucked under there. Get a needle or pin and you can lift it out.

This thread is not consistently woven. Fat sections contribute to the fact that it is worthless for use on a sewing machine.

Needed to hem an unusual coloured garment

Quality is ok for the price, not really great.

Great colours

The colours are great but the tread size is inconsistent, Its terrible for my sewing machine, lovely and thin one minute then fluffy and or slubs the next. Will not buy again.
