Assus rings up the Asus ZenFone 2E for its latest off-contract Android. Those of you looking for a simple, stripped-down phone could find it with Assus GSM Unlocked ZenFone, Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, the handset shows off Asus' colorful custom Zen UI skin on the ZenFone 2E's 5-inch, 720p HD resolution screen. Asus claims that its 8-megapixel camera captures photos with zero shutter lag. The handset also boasts an f/2.0 aperture and a 2-megapixel sensor on the front. Powering the show, you'll find a dual-core Intel Atom processor with 8GB of internal storage and microSD card support up to 64GB. The 1GB of RAM is exactly where it should be with this kind of phone. Bluetooth 4.0 LTE support for 4G LTE is also onboard. Bottom Line ASUS Zenfone 2E While this low-cost iteration the Zenfone 2 shares a lot of the design language of its namesake, the similarities end there, one of the biggest positives with the ASUS Zenfone 2E is its unbeatable price point, which is what makes this smartphone a great entry point into the world of Android.

Good value phone for light/moderate users on GSM networks
The phone is AT&T branded, but it is unlocked and works on other compatible networks.Good: Works for its prime purpose as a phone. Great value for money if you don't need stellar performance or run lots of heavy apps at one time. Nice screen, device feels quite solid and looks just fine. I've used it on both AT&T and T-Mobile in the US with no problems. Works with most US 3G/LTE frequencies. I'm using this as a spare phone for when I crack or lose my main phone, and also as a loaner for visitors, and for that it's a good choice. Not so good: Not very fast. Comes with host of preloaded and undeletable bloatware from both Asus and AT&T, which uses up a big chunk of the 8GB storage, and probably slows the device down.Limitations: Not compatible with VoLTE. With 5.0 , you can't use Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile, and probably not on AT&T either (not tested). No CDMA.However: If you know how to do it, rooting the phone and installing a plain version of Android might speed things up a little and give you more space. 6.0 should (might?) enable Wi-Fi calling, but I've not got round to that yet.

Perfect phone for moderate users.
I readed a lot of bad review about this phone. I was nervous until the phone arrived. The true about this phone is very nice phone. First it's well made, love the design, love the weight fit in my pocket. Second it's not as slow as some people described, it have a dual core processor, you have to be clear about this point, it's no quad-core, not for who wants to play on cellphones, but for me it's perfect. Low Rom memory, but many Android devise midrange are too. I have Instagram, twitter, WhatsApp, wallpapers app, clean master, Netflix, crackle, wattpad, and the phone comes with many app, rediculous amount of at&t app, but you can disable at first time and this icon comes hide, which it's great, that wasn't a problem. The camera it's better I expected, including from facing camera for your selfies. My conclusion its a great midrange devise for moderate usage, not for gamers or heavy users, the price it's better than other devise of its class.Asus UI it's pretty nice.I definitely buy ASUS phone again.

She loves it and it's all in English and unlocked like it should be
Got this for my gf. She loves it and it's all in English and unlocked like it should be. Only reason for 4 stars and only downfall is that she can't text message pictures or receive them. I have had the same problem with other phones in the past. We have tried changing all the settings and everything and still doesn't work. Still a great phone for her at&t contract carrier, even has there logo in the phone.

Excellent team
It is an excellent team that price could say that has features of a high, very robust range and works well the reception quality and signal strength. I use it in Venezuela with Movistar and Movilnet using frequency bands American and Digitel using European and works well. A function that missed my previous computer was stolen unfortunately I connect a USB drive and it was read on my phone through a cable, that's great. Really I give the best rate of this team. I've been about a month with and am very satisfied. Obviously for mobile players they will not serve, but for users who need to work with your office home or in everyday life is very good. I highly recommend

A phone with problems
The main problem is the sim card reader(signal, connection) blinks in and out. I will have signal one moment and the second I try to send a text or make a call an "x" appears over the signal bars and it says emergency calls only. Its acting like there is no sim card in it. It doesn't do it all the time either sometimes it works just fine. When I use cell data as connection is when it drops the most. It was originally an AT&T phone and I am on T-mobile, the built in AT&T apps still but in and crash every one and while. I've put the sim card into another phone (one that I couldn't keep) since these issues and it works fine so it was the phone. Under 80 bucks so can't complain to hard, getting a new phone soon.

Nice inexpensive AT&T phone with a very nice camera and up to 64GB memory expansion. Nice screen, decent sound, and good battery life. As others have said, it does come loaded up with preloaded apps of which only a few are really useful, but for the money, still a pretty good deal.
