Someone needed to address this voting farce on AI
I gave this book 5 stars because it is important that someone is talking about the ridiculous voting methods allowed on American Idol. DWTS has a very fair voting method, allowing only so many votes per telephone. This scam carried out in Arkansas was shameful and immoral. I hope they are all happy that they have put Kris in a horrible position. He will be the least favorite American Idol ever, except in Arkansas. What a wonderful legacy for him. He was a so-so contestant on the show, and is struggling now, singing in half-full, very small venues and opening for other singers. I'm glad I don't live in Arkansas, and now I will never go there again. What pitiful people. Adam is doing wonderful, selling out every venue on his tour and getting glowing reviews everywhere. People all over the world love him and he will be the biggest star since Elvis.

the fall of american idol via at&t
i am a huge adam lambert fan and had been an american idol fan up until adam lost. the show lost all credibilty with me and i"m sure with others as well. it isn't surprising that the show is struggling. why waste time and invest your emotional energy getting wrapped up in a program you know is rigged? for kris to win over adam is ubsurdity at its best. congratulations at&t and cheaters of arkansas, you stole a win from a once in a lifetime talent, lost your own reputation and probably destroyed a phenomenal competition/program. good job. by the way, i am a conservative christian women, 48 years old, mother and wife, i consider myself lucky and blessed to have witnessed the amazing talent of adam lambert. i wish him nothing but love and success both in his career and life.

Very interesting investigation
Why did authorities ignore this information? I don't know but the reading and information is very interesting. Did the entire state of Arkansas conspire to help influence voting toward their hometown boy? Plenty of evidence found here!

Good Reading
This is a great read and tells the real life story of what really happened to Adam Lambert's American Idol dreams. He was denied the winner by unethical entities and this book outlines all of the juicy details. After reading this book and gaining insight into what really happened, I now have a better understanding of how "the best singer in the world" was robbed of his well deserved title of becoming the Season 8 winner. The American people all know that Adam Lambert should have won.

A work of literary genius?
I must confess, I do not know. Even though I somehow made it past the chapter-length title with odd random capitalization, I had trouble getting past the notion that someone is so obsessed with a TV show that they are writing lengthy tomes about it a year later. I'm glad to read, though, that Ms. Kolsch doesn't want to take the title away from Kris Allen. AND she wants to help Idol save the show? Truly a charitable person at heart, isn't she? Though the cover art needs some work. If nothing else, maybe a little glitter?

Oh the drama...
It is always amusing to see how completely normal people lose their common sense when it comes to American Idol...The author here tries to find explanations for Adam Lambert surprisingly losing the title to Chris Allen last year after dominating the competition during the whole season: A voting scam? Or maybe bigots who didn't want an openly gay man grabbing the title are to blame? What the author doesn't grasp though is the simple fact that American Idol has never been about the music or about talent: American Idol is a reality TV popularity contest desinged to sway people into using their phone to vote as many times as possible, nothing more.Yes, Adam Lambert is a massively talented singer and performer whith a an outsized voice and personality who made Season 8 of American Idol look like a one-man-show. A radio show host called seasoned stage performer Adam Lambert entering American Idol "Like making Michael Phelps compete in a kiddie pool" which perfectly sums up how many viewers felt about season 8.But once again, it's not the judges and experts who decide.American Idol is about ratings and money (just like any other TV show) and what goes on behind closed doors is anyone's guess.Viewers who lose sight of this and even for a second believe American Idol is a "real contest" are simply deluded.Ironically the only person involved who didn't care about all this drama is Adam Lambert himself. He's said again and again that winning the title is not important. And why should it be?Lambert's album is outselling winner Chris Allen's album by more than 2:1 (not counting international sales), the media goes nuts over Lambert's every move and right now he's headlining a 60+ dates tour (sold out every venue so far) while talented but low-key Allen only made headlines for releasing the lowest-selling album of all American Idol winners.Talk about the difference between a TV show and real life...Would I recommend this book? Nah. Watching American Idol reruns is much more fun.
