Are these parts arriving sterilized? The bag doesn’t look that way. If not, can I sterilize tubing?

Hello Pen, thank you for your question. The parts do not arrive sterilized. To sanitize the pump parts before use, place them in a pot of boiling water for five (5) minutes, taking care to keep the parts from touching the surfaces of pan. Remove from the water and allow to air dry. With regard to the tubing, no milk should be in contact with the tubing, so we do not recommend sanitizing them. We recommend replacing the tubing if they become damaged or dirty. We hope this helps.

Why are the duckbill valves that are in the package a) not the ones pictured and b) not the same as the original parts that came with the pump?
