Got rid of those pesky light bulbs.
Luv the conversion to chandelier bulbs. That's all I buy now unless I have to deal with a harp that's attached to theshade.

Well, I had all these spare 40W A19 bulbs I'd acquired at a garage sale for virtually nothing...
... Problem solved. That's one big smile, and lotsa dollars saved!

A Project out of the box . . . . do it yourself kit.
It met all the review comments. Sketchy and minimal contact to metal strip with adaptor base. 6 of 10 had to be adjusted. I put one in the socket I thought worked. It did not, so I unscrewed and adaptor was left in chandelier socket. Not easy to turn adaptor out since it's flush with light socket. Edge not textured for finger traction - with struggle needle nose pliers eventually got it going. This really was an unexpected event. With 9 bulbs in chandelier, I have the attitude some will go out and have to be removed and retweaked. In my mind they all should work out of the box. It can and should be caught in manufacturing.I would prefer porcelain sockets, but I saw none. Others all seemed to have the same design as these, so I just went for these. I'd pay for a conventional full aluminum or copper female adaptor thread. Not the case apparently for these type products. Probably not enough volume to make them properly.

These work & help save $
These adapters work as they're supposed to. They end up saving me money because I can buy low-wattage bulbs with candelabra bases and, with the adapters, use them in place of standard bulbs. Example: instead of a 60W standard filament bulb, I got a 70W-equivalent candelabra bulb which uses only 6W--and that's still better than 60W-equivalent 11W or 13W bulbs with standard bases.

Works
Works but have better quality, like use of copper in contacts

LED conversion solution
I use these adapters to convert medium base sockets in picture lights and other applications where I wish to convert to low lumen LED bulbs. In recent times I have been unable to find adapters of this size in local stores. These are compact and appear to be a well made and economical solution.

Did what they were supposed to do
These were a lifesaver. I had balls with the larger fixture ends to them and my chandelier and bathroom fixtures. I ordered LED lights from G7 and was excited for the new book and energy savings as well as additional brightness, until I realized that the fixture ends were different. Please resolve that problem and they all worked wonderfully. I used nine of them.

but good luck when they don't
I chose these because the fixtures I'm using them with are exposed and I wanted something discreet. Several did not work right away. They required a lot of untwisting and prodding until I found the "just right" spot. Two of the twelve never worked at all. You will find them extremely difficult to loosen/remove from most fixtures- not a problem if they work properly, but good luck when they don't. A product as simple as this should work the first time, every time. In this case, you get what you pay for.
