Caveman Factory LLC Plastic Anton Strainer Bowl, Red Bowl with Green Removable Strainer

The bowl is much smaller than I thought it would be. It couldn't even hold one pound of rotini pasta without some spilling over the edge. Also, I am not confident in its stability, so I ended up spilling boiling hot water on my bare foot. Ouch. Secondly, whenever I tried to soak my grape tomatoes, the water would not stay over to the further side, away from the strainer, so my tomatoes really didn't get a long soak like they needed. I am going to use it more, and hopefully I'll get the hang of it..

Nice looking product. Great idea and mostly well conceived, in my opinion. You will see by looking at the picture that the drain hole is higher than the bottom of the bowl. As this is a colander, it would be great if I could just leave it to drain without needing to hold it in a pour position.This could be done by creating a channel from the bottom to the spout and the spout may be repositioned to accomodate the spout.The product seems good quality plastics.

The strainer it self works well and is a good sized...however I was very disappointed when it arrived in Red, which is not even a color option when placing the order. We just renovated our kitchen and it does not match whatsoever with other items on our open shelving.Update 2/2020: We’ve used this strainer for a couple years now and we love it...but we only use it mostly for fruits, vegetables and harder foods. It’s not the best for pasta.

We were really excited to get this product because it has such a cool design, but the design turned out to be much lamer than we thought is would be. The bowl is pretty shallow, so when you pour pasta in to be strained, water sometimes splashes out the sides. It also means there isn't a lot of space for stuff, so you might have to strain 2 or 3 batches.

I love it! I would give 5 stars if it could hold more liquid' without spilling when it is set on the counter to soak berries before draining.

I guess it's good for small things if you're single person it would be good

I love the product, it is an amazing design, the quality is remarquabke, the plastic is very thick and handle hot water. I realized in the comments that some people were having trouble installing or cleaning the filter. It is super easy, just check the photo attached.

Quality is an a+. The design is innovative, but not perfect and doesn't always solve a purpose. I'd say the best use is if you want to rinse off something and can't set it in the sink, this allows you to set it on the counter next to the sink. But this also has its limitations as the angle doesn't allow the item to be rinsed completely. Also using the stem as a handle shown results in dumping some stuff out again because of the angle, and if the water was got (such as straining noodles) it will burn your hand as the plastic transfers heat immediately. So overall the build is sturdy and excellent, the design just didn't really solve any problem but creates a few more instead
