Decent quality.
Feels nice and hefty, durable, and does the job. Great for looking at moss up close while on a stroll.

Lots of distortion
Wanted to replace an old Hastings triplet that had mechanical grommets(?) to hold top and bottom covers since top cover had come loose. This magnifying glass is only clear in the center and it is distorted towards the edges. So you get a clear 10X in about 1/2 to 2/3 of the radius of the glass.

Too see marks on jewelry
My eyes might be the problem, I’m not sure. It was still hard to read marks on jewelry.

Good value, nice lens
I use it for work, where I help customers solve all sort of home-owning problems, from plumbing to carpentry to sundry repairs, and I use it for fun as an amateur naturalist in the field and in the garden, to look more closely at plants, and rocks, and any other sorts of specimens I encounter on hikes and walks. If it were a bit larger in diameter I'd like it more but I find it to be just fine for my needs.

Broke within a few days—the magnifying glass piece separated from the metal cover. Unfortunately, it happened in the field, and I couldn't find the glass piece, so I can't return it. Bummer.

Should have a microfiber tissue and mini pouch
Good as expected but I was hoping I would get a microfiber tissue to clean and store at least.
