Great Product
This chair was extremely easy to put together. It is very sturdy and easy to clean. We had an issue with one of the plastic brackets beneath the seat getting loose and causing the seat to slide, but I emailed OasisSpace Customer Service and could not have been happier with the experience. Ivy and the customer service team responded to my email(s) almost immediately (even on weekends), asked for photos of the problem, recognized it, then immediately shipped me an entire new seat with expedited shipping and I got it within 2 days of the original email complaint. Very good customer service! Some of the best I have ever had from a company. Highly recommend this product and company!

Good product.
Sturdy and easy to maneuver around the bathroom and bedroom. Easy to assemble. On the down side, the package looked like it had been rolled down a hill. Some of the hardware was missing but I have more hardware than you can shake a stick at.

Perfect match for need.
Easy to assemble and fits over toilet as advertised. Sturdy construction except for seat tabs (plastic). These tabs snapped off first time seat was used. Other reviews indicated the same problem. Provided the seller with photos and description of problem. Have not received a response. Correct the issue by replacing the seat tabs with heavy duty Velcro tape on frame and seat. Works great now.

Cheaply made and brakes don’t work!
My opinion is don’t waste your money on this chair. It broke the first week we had it. The brakes were only on the back and when we put them on, it seemed like there were no brakes at all. Didn’t hold in place over the toilet. The seat fit on the bars with 4 plastic hooks. That’s what broke. It says up to 400 pounds and my husband is only around 230. I sent it back. Look for something with brakes on all 4 wheels and no plastic hooks!!

Not for short patients
The chair is sturdy enough, and easy to assemble if you have a magnifying glass to see the diagram and read the tiny print. But it turns out the critical dimension is missing from the diagram included in the listing. The seat is not adjustable, and the floor to seat height is 21&1/2 inches. For reference that towers over a standard toilet seat height by a full six inches. My patient's height overall is slightly less than five feet and the distance from floor to the bend of the knee (critical to being able to sit down without a lift) is 16." So she has to be lifted vertically five inches or more in order to sit down on this chair, or step on some kind of stool which introduces another fall risk. A tall person will probably find it no challenge, but someone without the strength and executive function to lift herself by the arms would need a strong assistant to get into this chair. There is also insufficient friction between the locked rear wheels and the empty chair to keep it from shifting backward when the patient sits or rises unless they first transfer their weight to the chair arms. I am opting for an adjustable unit without wheels, as the transfer from wheelchair to a lower height shower chair is safer than using this chair to move a short person around.
