Whether Home or on the Road you need never drink ordinary coffee again! Coffee drinkers know the best coffee comes from the freshest ground beans. Most household grinders take up space, make a mess and cannot be used without a power outlet. Thats what makes the Bean Buddy the ideal solution for anyone who travels, hates using an electric grinder, or just appreciates a fresh cup of coffee. The slim design will fit easily into a backpack or luggage and the handle can be detached for storage. You can grind the freshest beans anywhere you go, no need to settle for weak, stale coffee at a diner or pay $5 for a latte at a coffee shop. Experience the Superior Flavor of Hand-Ground Beans. Many fail to realize electric coffee mills don't always give the most flavorsome grind. The high-powered blades bruise delicate beans and heat grounds as they chop, resulting in damage to the fragile compounds which give rich, full coffee its scent and flavor. The ceramic burr on the Bean Buddy provides a consistent grind every time and is adjustable for any brewing method. Easily grind your desired amount of beans—from a single cup to 34oz of coffee (8 cups). Durable Design Will Not Rust—Two Year Guarantee—The exterior of the Bean Buddy is made of sturdy hard plastic that will withstand travel and regular use. The ceramic burr will not rust the way metal blades or grinders can and the entire grinder is easy to open up and clean when needed. Bought it for Christmas
I bought this last Christmas for myself to use in the early am when everyone was still asleep and to use on trips. Over all it is made of good quality materials and is well constructed. from the beginning I had trouble with the locking ring coming loose and the spindle would lower itself down so low the handle would fall off. It was pretty frustrating so I tried to bend the locking ring a little to see if a more acte angle would help it stay in place. That worked for a little while. So, back in the box it went and I had intentions of returning it m but out of site out of mind and the 30 return deadline came and went. that was my fault I missed the deadline. Since then I read that there might be a fix for this but I don't know how to reach the seller.Or if anyone has an idea as to I might be able to fix it I would appreciate knowing. I do like the grinder and if it worked like it is supposed to i would probably love it. I am not looking to blame anyone except myself for not acting in a timely manner. Never the less, any ideas would be appreciated. I would consider buying this if those issues have really been fixed.

Great Exercise!
It does a good jog of giving you the right consistency of grind. It's a bit of a workout to produce enough grounds for a full pot of coffee. If you are going to be grinding a lot of your own coffee, you might consider an electric burr grinder or a coffee maker that grinds for you.

Good grinder for the money and should work great for travel
Well built little coffee grinder. Grinds up enough coffee for a couple of cups in lust a few minutes. Easy to clean and use. Only complaint is the shaft for the burr is not held well so if you get too energetic while grinding the coffee grind seems to vary in size somewhat. Looks like it will be simple enough to find a way to secure the burr shaft near the bottom and get a more consistent grind. It is going to come in handy when I travel or vacation. Not perfect but worth the $37 (for that did not expect perfection)

Not very sturdy. Broke after third use.
This grinder did a good job while it lasted, but it isn't very durable. The upper half, which houses the burr and shaft, cracked where it threads onto the base. I think it needs to have thicker plastic where the upper and lower halves join. It's a shame, because it is a good effort at an affordable mill, but it has to last for more than a couple of days.

which is good for a press
Got this as a Xmas gift after reading the initial reviews. It works "great" if you keep the lid "off" since you cannot get the spindle part of shaft high enough above the lid to engage and stay engaged. I bought it as a travel burr grinder to use with my coffee press. I tried loosening the lower nut but that tightens as you use it. We tried putting in some washers to allow for more height and tried other options. They are all "band aids" to fix what should work normally. The problem is many fold. First off, as noted above, the spindle does not come up high enough above the lid to have the handle stay engaged. Second, even when you can find a way to get partial engagement, the locking ring used to keep the adjusting ring locked has too much play in it and the locking ring swings out and allows the adjusting ring to spin, making it drop and make grinds larger, which is good for a press, BUT it drops the spindle down lower and your handle disengages again. If you had some washers to lower the lower conical part to drop more, you can get the spindle higher but again, the locking ring swings out and allows the adjusting ring to spin and drop lower, again disengaging the handle. If I "only" use it without the lid, it works fine since the handle does not disengage, and the end part of the handle HOLDS down the locking ring to keep it from swinging out and allowing the adjusting ring to spin. But I did not buy it so I can never use the lid.If they fixed those items, making the locking ring less "loose" and they allow the spindle to come up higher, and they maybe put a machined hole in spindle to allow the handle to be tightened down, and a few other things, the actual functioning part of the burr grinder works fine. I like the measurement levels on outside of the bottom device.Sorry, but I am returning it.Brian (husband)

The design of this burr grinder design is very limited ...
The design of this burr grinder design is very limited in allowing adjustments in the coffee grind between course and medium grind.
