Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags on Refill Rolls, 270 Bags, Lavender

We really love these new poop bags. They check all the boxes: Just the right thickness - nice and sturdy with no fear of blowout or leaks without being too thick. Just the right size - large enough to handle a full load and still be able to tie, without being overly large. Just the right level of fragrance - a pleasing whiff of lavender when you open one without knocking you over. Each bag tears off cleanly from the roll without undue drama. Likewise, opening the bag is drama free. Even the sticker that holds the new roll closed is thoughtfully designed. (Hint: remove the sticker toward the end of the bag, not the middle so that if you do tear the bag, it is just at the open end) We had previously been using compostable bags, which we threw into a bucket until we got around to gather them for disposal, but we found with those that if we waited more than a day or two, they could start decomposing in the bucket which made a mess. These stay intact until we get around to trashing them. The fact that these bags are made with 65% certified post-consumer recycled plastic helps to assuage our guilt that they are not quite as eco-friendly as compostable cornstarch-based bags. At $0.04 per bag as of June 2026, we find them to be a good value.

I was on the hunt for good poop bags because with the ones I just finished, I could smell it strongly the whole way back home. I read through a lot of reviews and first ordered a less known brand because of the reviews and I liked the print on them, but literally only received two rolls instead of 8! After being annoyed with having to return while out of bags, I chose these instead. I’ll definitely be sticking to this brand and am satisfied:) Much better than the ones I had. Thicker, but not too thick, nice size to conveniently pick up after my dog, fits nicely in her leash bag holder, the smell is way less noticeable. You can still smell her looser stools here and there, but I don’t think any are going to be fool proof. My outside garbage was very stinky with the other bags as well. I can definitely tell a difference and I’m happy with them. They’re also priced fairly. I also like how the box they came in can be used to pull the bags through. I thought it was cleaver and thoughtful. I got the scent less ones because I was afraid fragrance would annoy me. I feel like that about kitchen garbage bags too. If that doesn’t bother you, you might be fine with it. I didn’t want her leash holder to smell w/ fragrance either, so the scent free ones were great! The rolls are very small, so you can really fit them anywhere, including your pocket. I can fit 2 in her leash holder if I wanted to. I think if your dogs poo’s are nice and solid like they should be, you probably will never smell it through the bag at all. My dogs going through some problems, but honestly, I’m not smelling it the whole way home, so I’m happy. I’ll update once her poo is solid again to tell the difference. I really do highly recommend these ones! The darker green colors nice too;)

Maybe "love" is a strong word, but we definitely won't buy any other poop bag brand. We've been buying Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags for at least 4 yrs now. We've tried others, but to be honest, they just don't compare. My husb takes our 17lb mini doxie and 82lb boxer bull on walks 2x/day. He says the other poop bag brands are CRAPPY (lol, I made a punny!) But seriously, his complaints are this: They are too small or at least not wide enough. He says that when he grabs the big pile of boxer poo, the bag should accomodate his XL hand so that he can spread his fingers wide and get a good grip so he can pick up ALL the poopies in one motion. With other brands, the bags are too narrow and it takes more than one try or more than one bag to pick up the boxer pile (and she can have some EPIC size poops). As any dog owner knows, if you are faced with a pile of poo that can't be cleanly picked up in one motion, then you start venturing into the area of "this is really vile" and "I think I'm going to make myself sick" because it's bad enough picking up dog poo in one go but when you have to make a 5 minute adventure out of it, it becomes just plain GROSS. The other thing that makes these the best is that they literally don't smell. Somehow they contain the smell enough so that when walking home carrying the bag to the nearest poo trash can, it doesn't blast you with noxious gases. Also, they're really strong. Have you ever picked up a pile of poo and have the bag rip? We haven't and we definitely hope not to...EVER. So the added sense of security with a thick bag really helps. Lastly, they're made with post-consumer plastic, so while not biodegradeable, at least they are a bit more eco-friendly by reusing some landfill plastics. Hoping that Earth Rated develops a compostable version that might be even better, but the other biodegradable bags we've tried are dreadfully thin so we hesitated to use them. Earth Rated are a wee bit more expensive than other bags out there, but honestly, to us they're well worth it. PS. I know what you're thinking and yes, I WALK THE DOGS TOO. And I also pick up poo. But so long as my husb does the majority of the dog walking and poop picking, HE CAN HAVE WHATEVER BAGS HE WANTS.

The only bags I buy. Thick enough to minimize the odor and you can get them scented if desired. Strong material so the contents don’t easily leak out and don’t accidentally tear through.

These Earth Rated poop bags are excellent — thick, sturdy, and truly leak‑proof. They tear cleanly off the roll and never rip, even with bigger messes. The bags are extra long and easy to tie, which makes walks so much easier. They also block odor really well. Great quality at a great price — I always feel confident using them. Highly recommend!

The product works well. They are strong enough, they are a good size even for our large dog, only drawback and I don’t know if there could be a cost effective fix but the bags are difficult to open with dry fingers and the last thing you want to think about is licking your fingers to open a pet waist bag. Especially if it’s not your first one!

I bought these since my favorite brand was out/backordered. I was pleasantly surprised and may have found my new favorite brand! I have 4 large greyhounds, so you can imagine I need large, sturdy bags. These ones are just that, and easy to open! Thick, durable, and big enough for large dogs!

Great product. Scent makes a difference and well packed and designed

Ich nutze die Hundekotbeutel inzwischen regelmäßig und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Beutel sind angenehm dick, reißfest und wirklich auslaufsicher. Selbst bei größeren Hinterlassenschaften lassen sie sich problemlos verwenden, ohne dass man Angst haben muss, dass sie reißen. Der leichte Lavendelduft ist dezent und überdeckt unangenehme Gerüche etwas, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Außerdem lassen sich die Beutel leicht voneinander trennen und passen problemlos in einen Standard-Kotbeutelspender. Mit 270 Beuteln reicht die Packung lange und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Für mich gehören sie zu den besten Hundekotbeuteln, die ich bisher ausprobiert habe. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
