VERY tough to chew and just kind of a weird consistency in general. definitely disappointed as they are not soft at all like the name states.

The candies are excellent and the cost was only one-third the price charged in supermarkets for them. It is unfortunate that the vendor is no longer supplying this product - requiring buyers to purchase it from non-Amazon vendors.

Yes I'm a grown woman but there is something about Japanese candies that I can not resist. First of all, I'm not big on the typical melon flavor of candies if had in the past but these were really good. I don't know what they put in their candies, maybe its a difference in the sweetners used, but they are delicious. The biggest thing that sets their candies apart, this brand in particular, they do not lose their flavor part way through. You get consistent sweetness and flavor the entire time. I just love how the little gummy beads seem to pop out of the chewy stuff the whole time you're eating them as well.The Japanese are masters at top quality, period!
